What are all the functions of alt-coins/tokens? Seems like they are not just competing mediums of exchange, but also a kind of stock offering
I have been trying to understand the alt-currency market so that I can invest,
seems like there is more to it than just a ton of different variations of bitcoin competing to be the ultimate crypto currency that achieves adoption.
For example the cute cat currency (seems like blatant gambling); the virtual reality blockchain (seems kind of like a video game currency);
the aeroplane tokens (seems like a stock offering to fund their blockchain innovation for airplane safety, but I don't see why any type of business even unrelated to blockchain or tech could not use this crypto token model to get investment without the regulatory hurdles of trying to release stocks on the market).
What other uses/types of alto-coins are out there?
