Quick question about polo markets.

I use bittrex but considering switching to poloniex. Polo has usdt.. So In theory if I believed btc is going to drop I can sell my btc for usdt wait out the market correction/ the dip whatever you wanna call it, and then I can buy btc with usdt, since my understanding is usdt is 1 to 1 ratio of the US dollar. Am I correct about USDT on polo? submitted by /u/cryptokitty44 [link] [comments] Read More

Lending on Poloniex vs Bitfinex - interest rate variation

Why are the interest rates on bitfinex so much higher than on Poloniex? I tried googling it, but most of the results seemed to imply that historically interest rates have been higher on Poloniex. This bring me to the conclusion that it is not due to an inherent design (higher fees or liquidity) that influences the market price. Given some interest rates are as much as 15 times higher, I feel like there has to be some reason for this disparity. What are your thoughts? submitted by /u/sudouser100 [link] [comments] Read More

Too good to be true?

Am I the only one very skeptical of this btc moonshoot? Seems very odd. I know the 80% happened but I'm wondering if it's going to dip big again before august. I've been reading that the miners may be doing this to manipulate prices for their own personal gain before the prices drop all over again submitted by /u/HashtagCHEFLIFE [link] [comments] Read More

[advice] Wait is buy?

I missed out on the previous dip and currently have no coins. It doesn't seem like this weekend is going to see the same as we have had in previous weeks. I am in two minds as to patiently wait in anticipation of another major dip or buy coins now. I'm looking to hold for a long time so really regret not being able to buy any last week when coins were particularly low. submitted by /u/crypto-99 [link] [comments] Read More

General thoughts about golem?

Hi, I'll try to be as quick as possible since the title says everything already. I made some small investments in golem (maybe something like 200 bucks every now and then) while it was still rising and did make some small short-term profits. However I'm planning on investing something like 2k in something besides BTC, ETH, LTC, etc... And I've been hearing a lot about golem lately some pros and cons and other standard stuff, I'm looking at the chart and I don't have much to say except that its low, lets say that the 0.000884 BTC was as low as it will go for now. I'm hoping for it to maybe drop down again at that area so I can try to put in some money? I'll continue looking at the chart for about a week just to see how the situation goes before I make a decision... Now for the real question Is golem worth it or should I scrap the idea about golem ad go look at something else ro justr keep the money in btc, eth, ltc? I need your thoughts about golem in genera

Prices are about to drop in the upcoming months

I think the most likely scenario over the next few months is that the price of Ethereum and most cryptocurrencies will drop. That's not being dramatic or even pessimistic, but that's the natural result of the recent dramatic rise. The only case I can see Ethereum rising is if SegWit completely fails. What we will likely see is a decrease in price, followed by a prolonged period of inactivity (or relative stability) until something destabilizes the market for better or worse. This is not law, as a lot of factors could cause a strong rise and fall. But I feel that it's important to prepare for a further decline in price submitted by /u/Upeor1994 [link] [comments] Read More

If BTC ↑ moon, then what happens to ALTS???

Now that BTC seems to be on the rise again, what are the implications for altcoins in the next couple months if BTC starts heading for the moon? I ask because I'm tempted to sell what little stake I have in alts for BTC, but I'm pretty new to the whole thing, so thought I'd ask people with more experience. submitted by /u/bit_b [link] [comments] Read More

Question about buying dips and selling highs on alt coins?

When you sell high and turn your alt coins to bitcoin for example, can you keep your coins in bitcoin and buy back in when the price of the alt coin dips back down? Or once you get the bitcoin should you turn it back into Fiat wait for the dip, buy back into bitcoin and then buy back into the alt coin? This is assuming the bitcoin and alt coin are following a similar pattern? Example: you sell alt coin x for .00005 bitcoin for 1000 shares. You now hold 0.5 bitcoin You wait for alt coin x to dip to .000025 bitcoin and buy back in. Now you can buy 2000 shares If your just holding the bitcoin it doesn't matter the price of that bitcoin in fiat just how many bitcoin that alt coin costs? So whether 0.05 bitcoin is worth 100 or 130 USD if the price of alt coin x is .000025 then you can buy 2000 shares with you .05 bitcoin? Am I thinking about this correctly or am I missing something that I am not taking into account? Apologize if the wording is confusing I'll try to clarify any

[Bitcoin] UAHF & Trading

Hello r/CryptoMarkets , This is a question about the upcoming UAHF (user-activated hardfork) coming up in August. It's my understanding that the coins owned on the Bitcoin blockchain will still be valid in the new one, but I'm wondering what the value will be for the hard forked (HF) Bitcoin. I'm not familiar with how exchanges treat hard forks but I saw the announcement from Coinbase explaining that they don't support the HF. Does the value of the new forked coin start at the same value as where it came? Is it virtually the same coin except it uses a forked protocol? What should traders know about the forked coin? Thanks! submitted by /u/Huey-E [link] [comments] Read More

Hey guys, do you know any crypto related sites that offers referral rewards like Changelly or CEX.io? I'm just a student and I am invested on some coins with my allowance which is not that much. I'm planning to make a little more profit by building a tutorial website that helps my friends and family become aware of this space and at the same time, promote some of this sites to make some profits. Thank you! EDIT: Aside from Coinbase. They are not available in my country unfortunately. submitted by /u/duterte69 [link] [comments] Read More

I made a cryptocurrency arbitrage calculator (UPDATED)

I just finished coding v1.5 of my cryptocurrency arbitrage program, so if you guys want to make some money trading check it out: Website with live data : http://ift.tt/2tXF8Q9 GitHub : http://ift.tt/2ttQNCK The aim of opensourcing this is that this will hopefully improve the state of cryptocurrencies by lowering the price variations between markets and make cc's, more appealing to mainstream investors. The program is in not yet finished and will probably never be - I have plans to make it into an arbitrage bot in a not so distant future. I am working on it everyday and would love some help too :). To see the roadmap/ todo list visit the GitHub. Message me if you want me to add a specific Market (although it is pretty easy to do yourself if you know a bit of code). I would love some feedback! BTW please star & watch the GitHub repo, it helps with my self esteem and getting into college :) Donate to keep it hosted: LTC: LVXCvcV52unCdcqvyvKp6mC6AAVur1EZ57 submitted by
