I have run and backtested ETH parameters via last 3 months with my boys from hedge funds and we have come to a conclusion along with several experts that Ethereum does not really derive value from its own fundamentals, it barely mimics Bitcoin movements as a long tail that swipes in exaggerated manners. Bitcoin moves up 5%, Ethereum moves up 20%, same when it goes down. When Bitcoin moves down, Ethereum moves down more than it moves up when Bitcoin moves up. According to this the flippening can only happen if Bitcoin continues growing. This is mostly thanks to huge supply of ETH which falsely creates an impression of higher market cap. People think that folk will abandon BTC in case of issues and jump on ETH. Sorry, won't happen. If Chinamen pull their stunts with the hard fork, then people will just the Bitcoin ship and cryptoship altogether. They won't jump in ETH, they will jump in FIAT. We’ve had an interesting week for bitcoin as prices first crashed below the $2,000 handle only to rally strongly from the lows on renewed hope for scaling. Litecoin followed a similar pattern with a fall to $35.30 followed by a 21% rally to $42.89 dollars per coin. Bitcoin Bounces on BIP91 Signalling Bitcoin prices bounced from the $1,812 lows to a hit a high of $2,232 today, a move of over 23 percent. The sharp reversal during the past three days can be attributed to bitcoin miners signalling for BIP91 ahead of schedule.
