So I'm fairly new to the game, however i happened across a paid advertisement for an ico called blockRx. Its a block chain solution for big pharma. Now traditionally, big pharma brings big dollars anywhere it goes, and if it's coming to blockchain, i think id like to get in on the ground floor. I haven't had time to read the white paper (i know, go read the white paper), but i was wondering if you guys had any insight, thoughts or feelings on the ico. Mainly, since I've never gotten in during the preorder phase of a coin, im looking for red flags on safety and legitimacy. The concept is a sound one, in my opinion. Not trolling. 1) So, I know the US is calling cryptos property and says you have to pay capital gains on them, but is that appropriate and legal given the decentralized nature of crypto? 2) If it is apropriate and legal, what's the best way to keep track of everything for tax time? If I buy $100 of BTC, then a week later I spend half of that on a trade for XMR, how do I track the value of each? I traded and got 42 ether on Poloniex. Withdrew to my offline Ledger wallet confirmed with 2FA and email link, and the withdrawal went really quick, no 5 minutes' pending for security checks as is usual. Well, nothing turns up on my ledger, so I check etherscan with the txid - 'sorry we are unable to locate the transaction entry'. So what do you all make of this? How could my coins be intercepted and an empty txid left? I use 2FA and a really heavy password for Poloniex. I've put in a support ticket obviously. This is the first illegal loss I've ever suffered in 4 years,obviously I've made some good gains in that time, maybe now is payback. Maybe hacking is the price of doing business. I haven't found any info on Kraken's FAQs about this. Does Kraken track/report to the US government trading that happens on it's platform in/out of crypto pairs with USD? Well actually I bought $700 worth. Mostly in Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum ($160 each). (On the 5th Sept) I bought $120 of bitcoin cash. ($100 on the 8th, $20 on the 11th) $20 of Verge, OMG, Qtum, Steem (On the 8th and 11'th at lowest points in the day) and Bytecoin on the 12th. $10 in Dash.
