How difficult is it to take advantage of price discrepancies between the different exchanges? For example, there is an almost a $1k difference in price in BTC between GDAX and Bitstamp. From the start of my portfolio i’ve learned most there is to cryptocurrency and trading coins on exchanges, but most recently my interest in Alts has spiked. I have a full understanding of trading BTC/USD/ETH against other coin, even LTC, but when it comes to trading these top coins against each other in the two exchanges I use (GDAX, Bittrex), I’m having a hard time understanding how to exactly trade these coins against each other. I’m mostly curious about ETH/BTC right now. The steps I take to add coins to my portfolio is Credit/Debt Card on Coinbase -> Coinbase to either GDAX or Bittrex -> Trade against BTC/USD or Alt. With the most recent spike in BTC price, bubble or not, there are some Alts I’m looking to purchase with BTC bubble or not. My only way to do this is buy a coin from Coinbase. I should start off by saying I don't hate the project or developers, but I do have concerns that I would like to discuss and get input about. Based on Linkedin, both of the co-founders don't hold any degrees, and aside from co-founding other start-ups they do not have any solid work experience. Schiener has created three failed start-ups - Fileyy (May 2012 – Jan 2013), Bithaus GmbH (Jun 2014 – Aug 2015), and Finhaus Ltd. (Mar 2015 – Jul 2016). Finhaus Ltd. was created only two months after Bithaus GmbH had failed. Sønstebø has created one failed start-up - Stealth (2014 – Present). Shouldn't we be concerned of their past business history? IOTA's devs. announced various partnerships but there is a lack of released official publications from the companies. How important is IOTA's partnership to these companies? Even during smaller dips, Coinbase almost always goes down for a few minutes while prices are low, then conveniently comes back when prices are rising. In the last week I've done quite a bit of research into cryptocurrencies. That resulted in a $1000 investment in BTC, ETH, and LTC. My question is: Should I put more money into altcoins? Been doing pretty good lately trading, but then again BTC has been killing it as well so it's not all contributed to me. When I am not in a position, all my funds are in BTC, which has been nice. I have recently noticed that when BTC falls, alts seem to follow suit (if i look at the last month or so on the charts). What's interesting is GRC seems to pump when the major alts and BTC go down. Hello! Since I'm unable to find any better place to ask for a review/advice about my trading strategy I'll start here (feel free to point me to a better place). I bought about 20ish altcoins (on Bittrex) and set a LIMIT sell order on all of them for 100% + profit. It's all set up for when BTC starts its bear run. Once the bear run starts I expect most people to exchange their BTC for altcoins (primarily BCH since it always rises when BTC fails in my experience ). Actually, I should say EXPECTED since I'm not quite sure anymore because there are a lot of new people jumping on the FOMO bandwagon that probably don't have the intention to trade cryptocurrencies so it might be that all/most altcoins will go down once BTC goes bearish. So my questions are: 1. What do you think about my strategy? 2. What is your end-of-year trading strategy? Or strategy when BTC Futures arrive? 3. What is your BTC doomsday* strategy? (Do you think it's the same day Futures arrive?)
