Is anyone "grinding" a living out of daytrading cryptos?

I'm less interested in hearing about the overnight millionaires here, I see those posts all the time. I'd like to hear from anyone making small but reliable(?) returns and living off of it. How much did you start with, and how much are you making a month on average? And of course, whats your strategy? submitted by /u/HRpuffystuff [link] [comments] Read More

The Moonbeam Scaling Network A Semi-Decentralized Scaling Solution

Bitcoin exchange and hosted wallet provider Luno formerly BitX is developing a Bitcoin scaling solution called Moonbeam. Unlike the lightning network, Moonbeam does not require SegWits transaction malleability fix and would be able to operate on the Bitcoin network as it is today.Moonbeam aims to provide a way for multi-user Bitcoin platforms such as exchanges, hosted wallets, and payment processors to easily open standardized one-way payment channels with each other, and thereby offload th

BIP91 The SegWit Activation Kludge That Should Keep Bitcoin Whole

Bitcoins long-lasting scaling debate appeared to be heading toward a climax lately, with two proposals gaining significant traction. At one end of the fence there is Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 148 BIP148, a user activated soft fork UASF originally proposed by the pseudonymous developer shaolinfry. On the other, theres SegWit2x, an agreement forged between a significant number of Bitcoin companies and miners. The good news is that both of these proposals have a short-term solution in common b

Ether Price Analysis Price Movement Shows Strong Market Value

What the heck is happening in the crypto world Is Ethereum finally dead Is ETH taking its last breathsNot likey. In fact, the recent pullback on the ETH-USD market is probably one of the best and healthiest things investors and traders could have asked for. Given ethers 300 price rise in just over a month, this pullback has a left many traders and investors bullish on the ETH-USD market. On a macro-scale, we can see ETH-USD had a very nice, textbook market correction along the 50 Fibonacci Ret

Ethereum based chat

Okay, so I recently made a post in /ethermining, /ethtrader and /ethereum about this chat and it went down really well. So I've decided to spread the love and make a post here too. I am not trying to bamboozle anyone here but if you want to talk to friends in real time there is a very active mining channel in this Ethereum discord. We're able to help with a lot of mining questions and there is a useful resource centre #knowledge-base. Moreover, there is also both developers and trading channels with price checking bots for ease of access. And of course, many active voice channels if you want to talk :) http://ift.tt/2rQ8IEN It is VERY active, with over a thousand people talking about crypto in their spare time! submitted by /u/5tg [link] [comments] Read More

Op Ed Three Technical Requirements to Connect Blockchains Without a Token

In my last post, I was talking about how connecting all blockchains is the final stepping stone for mass-crypto adoption. Here I want to outline the technical building blocks with which this idea can be implemented.Since I see a lot of downsides to having one large uber-blockchain connecting all others, I will focus on a token-LESS solution. This would have several advantagesNo need for an additional token.Users can remain on their blockchain. No need to trust a centralized third party. There a

Chromebook/Chrome OS and for crypto traders? Does Chrome OS hinder storage?

Will using a chromebook hinder me in my ability to store and transfer ethereum between exchanges and wallets. I just ordered a ledger nano S and I have a week to return my new chromebook. Any one here with experience on Chrome OS had any pressing issues as far as crypto goes to where I should avoid Chromebooks? I don't do anything fancy I just buy and hold and want to keep some of my assets in cold storage. Sitting on stacks of cash?

Hopefully everyone in this community is taking a good chunk of their money set aside for coin trading and sitting on that stack 'o cash. Why? There will always be significant dips due to the speculative nature of this crypto market and hopefully everyone has an alert on their phone for a price point trigger to buy on the that slide. Watch which coins come back the strongest over the past 6 months. I try to keep at least 10%-20% of my funds for trading liquid and ready to buy in those lows when the long term moving average flattens. Don't take it from me however - some of the largest groups out there sit on their cash for the right opportunities - look at Warren Buffet or Apple's balance sheet. They're hunting for that opportune moment to invest because you can't take advantage of an opportunity those stacks. submitted by /u/decentralizecrypto [link] [comments] Read More

Problems funding Kraken account

Hi there I'm semi-noob to crypto currencies. I've set up accounts at Coinbase and Kraken. While my CB experience has been good my issue is in funding my Kraken account (US Resident) so I can purchase altcoins not currently supported by Coinbase. I'm Tier3 verified through Kraken but funding the account has been impossible for over a week now and their support isn't responsive. Are there any other reliable/secure exchanges than Kraken? Do you think Coinbase will support trading of XRP ? Thanks for your help submitted by /u/ChocoFlan777 [link] [comments] Read More

What kind of a % correction are we looking at when the obvious cryptocurrency bubble pops and what is long term outlook of total market cap?

We are obviously in a cryptocurrency bubble. It will pop. Question is - what kind of a correction % wise are we looking when it pops? 80%, 90%? At the beginning of January total crypto market cap was only $15 billion . Now it is $105 billion . So this is an obvious bubble, but what are usually the corrections on such bubbles? Where will it settle once it pops? And the second question - what do you think is the long term (5-10 years) outlook on cryptocurrencies and their total market cap? If it is 105$ billion today what do you think the total market cap will be in 5 years and 10 years? submitted by /u/AnythingForSuccess [link] [comments] Read More

Is finance going the same way travel agencies went due to low cost travelling?

I know it is bit off topic, but was wondering what people think about this subject here. I am a daily visitor of this subreddit and don't understand much about finance... but trying to learn :) Do you think finance and all its services are going to be like travel agencies are now days? They used to have all the power of booking you better deals, but now days there are few, and I haven't ever visited one, everything is available through places like SkyScanner or eDreams. Will there be a SkyScanner for crypto, where you can just ask it to manage a portfolio for you? How important will financial knowledge be? Knowing things like Technical Analysis and Fundamental Analysis, will be only used as academic papers, that will be used in turn by companies that run their businesses based on them by implementing algorithms? There is a difference between the trader, the broker, the adviser, the accountant, the CFO, all those roles (many of which I don't know what they are). But will

Question about ICO's

Hi guys, pretty new to crypto so bear with me if not much of what I'm saying makes sense! Was reading about ICO's and I think I understand it (it's where an organisation essentially crowdfunds with rewards, e.g. 'If you give us $100 today, we will give you one of our coins when we open' etc etc, I think that's right?) However then I came across an article talking about an upcoming ICO; TenX who will have 200,000 ETH to sell/distribute. What I don't understand is, is this run by the owners of Ethereum, like where are these 200,000 ETH coming from? Are they generated by TenX? Are they already owned by TenX? Are they brand new coins? Existing coins? So many questions, if someone could help me out and explain in layman's terms that'd be appreciated submitted by /u/laddy192 [link] [comments] Read More

Is there somewhere I can get historical data for Ethereum/Bitcoin/Litecoin with a granularity of at least every hour?

I'm interested in getting a plot of this information. Preferably as accurate as every minute going back at least a month. Does anyone know of anywhere where this information might already be easily accessible? Gdax etc seem to lose granularity pretty quickly unless I'm using their UI incorrectly. submitted by /u/ARbreezy [link] [comments] Read More
