A larger capital can help jumpstart your investments and with a little luck you probably able to pay off your loan early and keep going with your earnings. Did you/would you take out a 10k or more loan to try and double it in a year or two? Do you think the impending boom from alt coins (NEO, OMG...etc.) could accomplish it without day trading or maybe an occasional sell at mooning buy back at dips? So today I went on www.bittrex.com to create an account and deposited roughly 26 BTC and traded them for other coins. Of course before doing this I did the basic verification, phone verification and enhanced verification and the 2FA authentication. I tested everything out and everything seemed fine... Then I logged out at 18:54:27 2 Hours later I come home and try to log in and it says that Bittrex is checking for my browser and that this might take up to 5 minutes. Few minutes later it goes through and asks me for my 2FA which I provide. Again it takes a long time and ends up failing. So I wait a bit and do the whole process again and when I finally log in I notice that everythings gone... All my coins were sold for btc and gone. So I check the history and this is what I see... I understand that you'd probably get burned very badly if it suddenly decides to go back to the original price you were hodling at, or if it suddenly dips so low that it's again out of your trading range when you bought back in. But do people ever do this? e.g. You bought in at 400k, after the hype dies, it dips down to 350k and there are now massive sell walls at 370k-380k so you'd be hodling for a while. Hi All, I wanted to share a trend I'm seeing. I bought strat at 3 dollars, everyone was hyped that it could use C#, so easier for coders to get into than eth. shot to $12. Now at $6. I got excited about NEO at $7, shot over $50, now around $38. Lisk has recently started showing the exact same pattern. "It uses Javascript!". I encourage you all to make a quick profit, but all those people claiming this is "natural growth consitent with the tech"... You're all delusional. This is just the next round of mini-hype-bubble. I still hold neo and strat, and may pick up some lisk too, but these coins are not actually even remotely in competition with ETH at this point. Maybe one day, and that is certainly not a bad reason to invest now. But ETH is miles ahead in development and adoption. That being said, the next competitor to look at is EOS. I'm somewhat new to crypto and have been trading/keeping up with the market nearly every day for about two months. My first big gains were from OMG and NEO where I made about a 50% ROI. (I feel like this should have been way higher, since both coins did more than a 2x.) However, the other coins I traded with tanked and lowered my ROI.
