How is my split of Crypto? Am I missing anything?

I've been following Crypto for a while and researched many of the coins. I like to think I've picked coins that have a unique real world use, or potential in the long run. Thoughts on Everex ICO?

Looks quite promising, although I'd like to hear others thoughts before putting any money into it. The site is here , and it offers some information. It looks quite promising, but again like I said I'm by no means an expert. submitted by /u/AlphaGamer753 [link] [comments] Read More

Who isn't dropping the ball with fiat / crypto funding?

We all know Poloniex is absolutely useless, but who / what exchange platforms are using that you can trust won't drop your thousand dollar wire, or lock up your XBT deposits with bullshit? There is lots of money waiting to enter the market that won't until they see some trust. So who do you trust? I have only made small purchases with my VISA on Coinbase, I am looking for feedback from the people who wire money and everything. Doesn't make you feel good when your exchange is asking you to wire money halfway across the world. submitted by /u/acre_ [link] [comments] Read More

I'm looking to invest a small amount of money into a few cryptocurrencies/platforms. What are your opinions on my choices?

I currently have a good amount of money invested in Antshares, as I think they will be quite profitable in the long run. I want to invest in some other cryptos as well. I am a student, so I don't have a ton of money to play around with. I was thinking about putting around $100-200 in each of these. Here are my top choices, and my opinions on them: Monero: Pros: It secured itself in the dark net markets and its key focus is on secrecy, so it provides a needed service and isn't just running on hype. Although its stuck in a dark market niche right now, I think it could expand to the rest of the world, similar to what Bitcoin has already done. Cons: I'm worried that some service will render Monero's built-in secrecy obsolete. There are already bitcoin tumblrs out there that make tracing them harder, and I imagine it's only a matter of time before a more advanced bitcoin service comes in and makes Monero useless. MaidSafe: Pros: It offers a brand new algorithm and has

Op Ed The Role of Trading Bots in the Cryptocurrency Market

Similar to Wall Street and stock trading, bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading is a form of income for many. Due to the nature of the medium, however, many bitcoin traders do it as a side project, focusing their energy on a main job or alternate work. But to generate passive or active income in these industries, you must be paying attention to current market trends and activity. Market shifts happen so fast, you can lose a lot of money if you dont act soon enough, or dont have time to trade wh

Bitcoin Price Analysis Post-Fork Exuberance Shows No Signs of Pulling Back Yet

Remember that time I said BTC-USD likely wont see a new all time high ATH any time soon Looks like I was wrong. Shortly after posting my previous BTC-USD analysis, in a matter of one hour, the price of BTC-USD not only broke its record high, but it surpassed it by $200 after ultimately settling in the $3200s. As of this morning, BTC-USD pushed another ATH of $3440 on Bitfinex marking a $600 in less than a week. Lets take a look at what these moves can possibly mean for BTC-USD and if these mo

Finding Blockchain-Based Security Solutions for the 3D Printing Economy

3D printing promises no less than the possibility to treat the physical world of atoms like the virtual world of bits, allowing users to email all sorts of physical objects that is, they can send validated specs to be 3D printed by a recipient with one click. In 3D printing, or additive manufacturing, successive layers of material are added to create the desired object, which can be of almost any shape or geometry. Theres still a perception that 3D printing is an expensive and overhyped way t

It seeks to suppress startups and developers' dependency on proprietary image datasets owned by tech giants.Existing databases are controlled by the company who

Update: Poloniex not letting me withdraw my funds - ~46k

Hello, this is an update post regarding my other post about Poloniex holding my funds of ~46k. http://ift.tt/2vrLokP First of all, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting me and taking my side throughout this case. Ever since that post I haven't heard a single word from Poloniex's team, there was no reply to any of my tickets nor to my PMs on here. If I don't hear anything from them in the next 3 business days, then I will be, unfortunately, forced to take legal action towards this, since that'd be an obvious sign that my money has been stolen and they aren't trying to cooperate. If anybody has any information that could help me, then please leave a comment or message me, again, thank you all for the massive support, I didn't expect to receive such. submitted by /u/varuss33 [link] [comments] Read More

Long term investing, day trading, or both?

I constantly struggle with the urge to day trade Crypto. I have a few investments that are "long term," but since i started investing, ive doubled my money (July 20th i started to invest). And i always wonder how much could i make if i day trade it... OR am i better off by doing long term investments... I could find it in my lifestyle to make an extra $100 a day... could pay off for my student loans and shit... Thoughts? submitted by /u/alef91 [link] [comments] Read More

Input on how to keep track of multiple cryptocurrencies

Hi, We're building a product helping people keep track of multiple cryptocurrencies. We are looking for people who invest, and actively trade, in cryptocurrencies, tokens or other blockchain based assets to give us input on how they currently solve that problem. We're looking to do video interviews this month and pay $150 for your time. If you're interested just send me a message and I'll reach out. LiteBit.eu Data Breach

Friend just forwarded me this email from LiteBit support : On August 5, 2017 we observed unusual activities on LiteBit's servers. Unfortunately, we have concluded that there has been unlawful access to LiteBit data. No LiteBit wallet servers have been broken, all coins of customers are safe. Also, there are no verification documents (ID or passport) involved in this incident. The cause of the leak is known, and the problems have now been solved. It is not clear whether data has actually been stolen. In the worst case, an unauthorized person has gained access to yours; Email address, encrypted password, IBAN, phone number, address and your portfolio data. What does this mean to you? For users who have 2-step authentication, it's very important that they reset it. We also recommend that you enable this additional security measure, for customers who have not already done so. In addition, it is important to change your password regularly. submitted by /u/MorrisSchaefer

Bitcoin's 'Digital Gold' Branding Attempt is Failing

The most well-reasoned investors I follow seem to be laughably rejecting this branding attempt. Reality: 'Evolve or die' is the nature of open source, ecosystem driven, networked tech. BTC fails in this regard. submitted by /u/impetus3 [link] [comments] Read More

BTC to the moon?

So I got into this game about one week ago. After extensive research I put together a portfolio of various altcoins and it's been going well. Or has it? Because if I study my stats more closely Bitcoin simply outperforms everything. Maybe the better strategy is just to put everything in Bitcoin and not worry about other coins? Is this sort of growth that outperformsm most altcoins normal? submitted by /u/carmofin [link] [comments] Read More

What do you guys think about Civic now that the ICO is done?

I remember hearing that the ICO sold out fast and that it was talked about a lot, but I don't see any mention of it any more and their subreddit has a low count of subscribers compared to a lot of other subreddits. I love the tech behind it, but just curious about what other people think since there isn't much news about it submitted by /u/Tyrantt_47 [link] [comments] Read More
