Need help for buying alts

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy some LTC, more ANS, XEM, some ETH and Strat. My question is, due to the BTC rally (USD to BTC to ALT), should I wait to buy or should I buy even though bitcoin is way up and should correct in the next days? submitted by /u/HHRealms [link] [comments] Read More

Three dark net markets were seized or exit scammed in the last month.. this is demonstrating the real need for a decentralized market place. Here's a few projects to keep your eyes on.

Open Bazaar - The OG of decentralized marketplaces, but is hamstrung by BTC tx fees Particl (PART, #63) - Formerly known as shadow cash, then i guess the devs decided the privacy coin space was really crowded and they were a late entrant so they pivoted to a marketplace. I've used the shadow cash GUI and it was really sleek and responsive. So I trust them to deliver a solid product. Also, PART just started trading on Bittrex very recently. Syscoin (SYS, #56) - I haven't looked into this one that much, but they've been around a bit, sounds solid, trades on both Polo and Bittrex. submitted by /u/drewshaver [link] [comments] Read More

GxCoin allows you to invest in local business by subverting banks and requirements for Venture Capital (net worth of 1M). This is a revolutionary new way of investing, and an answer to strengthen our economy, because it's backed by real businesses, real assets and real people. Pre-sale ENDING SOON.

This is a new idea, a new spin on Venture Capitalism. Small businesses often fail because of funding issues; banks aren't pulling their weight to help the largest portion of our economy (small businesses employ 70% of Americans) and Venture Capital is out of reach due to the SEC's requirements. Genevieve Co. is a Venture Capital firm that recognized the chasm separating the local economy and small businesses - and GxCoin is the cryptocurrency to bridge that gap. The investor receives GxCoin and, in exchange, they will be token owners in the businesses that Genevieve invests. Quarterly reports will be issued and after the businesses have grown, Genevieve will offer to buy back tokens. i.e. - This investment guarantees to be substantially more stable than other coins because the investment is backed by real businesses, real assets, and real people. Exchange for trading that isn't Kraken for US citizens? Tired of them.

After over 5 weeks dealing with Kraken to get my account verified and dealing with USD -> Bank withdraw issues that they won't help me fix I am sick of trying. Basically they give me the run around on withdrawing USD from Kraken to my bank. Their site only says "failure" but with no description as to why. Support gives me the run around generally placing blame on me like saying I am not verified (I am tier 3) and I am trying to withdraw too much money that won't cover the fees (Not true). They also say that I did withdraw my money to my bank which isn't true. I re-bought BTC so that I could move my Bitcoins to Gemini to move to my bank. Ugh. I have no problems with Coinbase and Gemini but I cannot trade cryptos other than BTC and ETH with them. Who else is an option? submitted by /u/absane [link] [comments] Read More

Op Ed No Governance for Old Men Coordinating Protocol Upgrades in the Future

Make no mistake. We are witnessing a high-stakes protocol standards battle play out in real time. And it is just as important as last centurys battle for the internets TCP standard.Current capacity constraints on the Bitcoin blockchain have brought us to this impasse. The Bitcoin protocol, as the dominant value transfer network effect leader, battles against upstart cryptocurrency protocols like Ethereum and Monero. But it also battles with itself as divergent forces push for either on-chain s

Will DAO Casino (BET) coins be added to Bittrex?

Bittrex says that they will not support coins related to gambling, presumably because it is a US-based company. However, DAO Casino seems like a protocol that supports gambling/casinos and isn't actually a wager site itself, so what do you think? submitted by /u/tjcombo14 [link] [comments] Read More

Vertcoin is on Litecoins Official Road Map: Vertcoin looks like a promising investment

If you go to the Litecoin road map here: http://ift.tt/29g4Cix Scroll down to "lightning network" and you can see that Litecoin is working with Vertcoin on a cross chain atomic swap. If this is successful they would be the first coins to do so, and it would raise the Vertcoin price much higher. submitted by /u/EYEeatPujols [link] [comments] Read More

BIP 91 Has Locked In. Heres What That Means and What It Does Not

It looks as if Bitcoin is getting Segregated Witness.Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 91 BIP 91 just locked in. Up to 90 percent of all hash power signaled support for this soft fork, which implies miners intend, in turn, to trigger Segregated Witness SegWit activation. By extension, this should make BIP 148 obsolete and August 1 a non-event.But SegWit is not certain. In fact, on a technical level, SegWit is not any closer to activation at all.BIP 91Segregated Witness, defined by BIP 141, locks i
