Bitcoin user loses $215,000 by mistake due to transaction fee error

BTC.com appealing for the user who paid an exorbitant transaction fee to come forward and claim their money.

Support: Lost 25 Bitcoin trying to withdraw from Bittrex. I have only ever been given automated responses, no human from this exchange has ever contacted me about this issue.

How is their support? Does it even exist? I recently tried to withdraw from Bittrex a few times actually but my bitcoins never reached my wallet. I thought maybe it could be stuck in the blockchain because of how slow it's been recently, but when I did a little digging on blockchain.info, I noticed that these coins weren't going to my wallet at all. I followed the trail for one of the withdrawals and there existed a chain of transactions where my bitcoins were going from one address to another within 30 minutes of each other. The other times I tried to withdraw, I withdrew to the same address over a few days, and my coins ended up in someone's else's wallet with almost 2.5 million other bitcoins. I'm not sure what to make of this. I have contacted them numerous times with numerous other problems too and have never been given a response, only automated responses leading to FAQ's. So I ask you, what can I do about this? 25 BTC is nothing to laugh at and I'

Research: What do you personally look at in a new crypto project before you decide to invest?

I'm putting together a small guide for people new to investing in crypto to use when looking at a new project, to help decide if it's a legit product or just another startup looking to make easy fund money. So far I have: What is the actual product being created and why is blockchain technology being used? To work out if there's any viability in the product or it's just a startup raising funds. The team / company behind the project: Do they have experience in the field etc etc The whitepaper: Looking at the actual need being solved by the product with reliable sources backing up statements. Having a clear roadmap and understanding of the marketing being entered. Any others would be great! Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/Motoko-Kusanagi [link] [comments] Read More

fundamental value of crypto currencies

I am just wondering of anyone ever saw an value evaluation yet based on: -all value that is likely to be held in crypto currencies if it would only stay at same level of fiat values (so now gambling involved) but only used as a secure storage to protect/hide against depreciation / negative interest rates / unstable governments ect. That would include all value that is actually held in fiat or any other article of value like property, art, ....you name it...legally and illegal in possession of the holder. submitted by /u/waxedmonkey [link] [comments] Read More
