Is DASH or ZEC the next break out Crypto Trade?

I'm heavily long in both DASH and ZEC, but I'm not sure which one is the bigger break out. I think the recent increase in LTC will bring DASH and ZEC with it. I think ZEC has better Zero Proof Knowledge technology and is therefore a better longer hold. Any opinions on which currency will break out next and why? submitted by /u/alscacean [link] [comments] Read More

How did I get Bitmark on Poloniex?

I lend some BTC on Poloniex. Randomly, I ended up with 0.001 Bitmark (worth 0.00000048 BTC) under my balances. Does anyone know how this happened? submitted by /u/solitude100 [link] [comments] Read More

[Serious] What do you do to diversify your risk?

I have increased my stash significantly over the last few months. I took hug risks going 250% in a position multiple times. Now with the increased portfolio i am focusing on keeping the gains. Currently i hold 10% USDT (I understand the risks of USDT but buying temporarily at a bloodbath is extremely hard otherwise), 10% BTC and 20% each of 4 alts (ZEC, MAID, LSK, CLAM). So how do you guys diversify your risk? What strategy you use? submitted by /u/warproxxx [link] [comments] Read More

Thoughts on Aragon (ANT)?

Liked the initial idea and are now sitting on a bag of this. At the moment I am break even but the trend is bearish for over a week now at a steady rate. I haven't heard any updates of this project for a while and are concerned it got outpaced by the hype around Bancor and co. Do you hold some? Please critique my portfolio for long term HODLing

I want to invest 75k€ until end of July and another 25k€ until end of December into crypto currency asset class. My objective is to maximize expected return on investment. My time horizon is preferably 7-15 years, max. 30 years. Exit strategy is to cash out up to 50% of the holdings into traditional stock/bond mix (provided holdings are >0). This is my target allocation that I plan to reach until the end of year 2017: 40% ETH 30% BTC 5% LTC 5% XMR 2% DASH 2% ICN 2% BTS 2% GNT 2% SC 2% MAID 2% SYS 2% FCT 2% LKK 2% MCO* 80% allocated ETH/BTC/LTC/XMR is my current best guess for the core part that should be relatively "safe" for long term holding. The remaining 20% is allocated into interesting projects that I like and expect to have exploding potential. *MCO (Monaco card) token is either a scam or at least poor long term investment vehicle but it was interesting experiment to participate in the ICO for the first time. Please critique my strategy and let me know if

How to sell altcoins for fiat?

Hey sorry if this is a stupid question but I am new to the crypto world and wanted to invest in some altcoins and tokens. I was wondering how I would sell the tokens once they reached a certain price? Would I just exchange the tokens for an equivalent value of btc and then sell the btc for fiat? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! submitted by /u/abducensx [link] [comments] Read More

How is IOTA up 11% with $6m volume

I'm expecting this to be a stupid question... but here goes: How can IOTA be up 11% on a $1.2bn cap with only $6m in volume? Even if all $6m were buys wouldn't that only have a 0.5% impact on the cap? http://ift.tt/1eGKfW2 Edit: this question appears to apply to all crypto listed, it just occured to me looking at IOTA because the huge cap and low volume stood out. submitted by /u/chriise [link] [comments] Read More

"Insufficient collateral available in your margin balance" - poloniex margin trading

Does anybody have this issue constantly? I just don't understand it. I can have a positive margin, a positive unrealized P/L, and available btc to buy coins. But I get this popup over and over again. I'm forced to continuously reduce the amount I'm trying to buy until I'm at the minimum (0.02) and often times it still wont let me do it, even if I have an entire BTC available to borrow. What gives? submitted by /u/PoloYolo_ [link] [comments] Read More

Ether bears, what are your opinions on the value and outlook of Ethereum?

This is hopefully a no-flame zone. Everyone on this sub is here to make money, not hold allegiance or exhibit religious fanaticism towards a coin. I'm an ETH and BTC hodler (in that order by percentage), although a small percentage of my crypto holdings are actively traded on exchanges. I am aware of many of BTC's strengths and its shortcomings. However, having spent too much time in /r/ethtrader has quite frankly had a short-circuit effect on the rational processes of my brain. I am personally high on ETH but would very much welcome opinions from ETH bears, especially why you think it is either overvalued or doesn't have much room to grow. submitted by /u/oarabbus [link] [comments] Read More
