The Crypto Show: Aaron Lasher, Bread Wallet & Gabriel Kurman Of RSK On LaBitConf 2017

On tonight's episode of "The Crypto Show," we talk with our first guest, Aaron Lasher, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Bread (formerly "Bread Wallet"). We the famed usability of their popular Bitcoin wallet, as well as their upcoming ICO, addition of Bitcoin Cash and Ether, implementation of exchange features, and their goal to become the go-to for ERC20 token trading and ICOs. We also talk about how they uniquely allowed those who held Bitcoin in their wallet prior to the fork to split and send off Bitcoin Cash. In the second hour we talk to Gabriel Kurman of the 5th Annual Latin American Bitcoin Conference in Bogota, Colombia, December 14-15th. We dive into discussing the pre-eminent speakers who will be attending (including Evan Duffield from Dash) as well as the fascinating and all too pressing topics that will be featured. We also talk about the "Blockchain for Humanity" project and the RSK project, which could revolutionize Bitcoin and

If Santa could make you the perfect exchange what would you want for Xmas?

I think we can all agree that there are so many exchanges for traders out there that are so disappointing. The UIs are terrible, they lack a lot of functional tools, I feel worried about security issues/trusting servers (being here in Korea), and so many negatives. There are things I like about different exchanges, but nothing comes close to being ideal. If you had a picture perfect decentralized exchange what top 5 things would you say were most important to you and stand out from other exchanges? Do any exist yet that you think are perfect/near perfect? If so, please link me. submitted by /u/CheslinK [link] [comments] Read More

How do you find new crypto's to trade or invest in and how do you track those investments?

I just started using one tool the other day to stay up to date on the crypto space (in the loop they call it). Their AI signals have been really good so far and the data is good too: https://coinloop.io I was wondering if anyone had used it before or have other tools that they use. submitted by /u/neilpoots [link] [comments] Read More

Free cryptocurrencies

For those who want to get into cryptos but don't have as much money as they would like to invest, this gives you the opportunity to build a modest yet diverse cryptocurrency portfolio at no expense. You never know which will be the next one to hit $10,000 (let's face it, it's coming tomorrow lol). earncrypto.com What I do is go to Earn Ripple (or whatever you like really) at the top left, and then Watch Videos. Load up a video or two, and let them run when you're asleep or not using the computer/s. Chrome browser seems to work best. I also like the data entry. Yes, I get referral commission. But I do believe in their service, and wouldn't be wasting my time if I hadn't seen significant earnings in my account. It won't make you rich overnight, but if you want a little free cryptos and you're willing to hold for a while, a buck or two a day might make a big difference if you are patient, and choose your currencies wisely : - ). As we have seen with LTC

Why are people still falsely using the crypto market cap comparison to dot-com bubble market cap as an argument?

Why are people still using the argument of the dot-com bubble being much higher in market cap (trillions) while cryptos are only in hundreds of billions as a reason why cryptos are not in a Bubble? Please look at this: http://ift.tt/2yzuMpn "At the beginning of 2015, Bitcoin was trading just above $300. In early November this year, the Bitcoin price topped $7,600. That translates to returns north of 2,200% in a matter of 1,041 trading days. By comparison, the NASDAQ index was up 391% after 1,041 trading days from the start of 1995. Returns on the NASDAQ index peaked just shy of 1,100% after 1,326 trading days. Bitcoin’s run has far outpaced the tech bubble, and its returns have already dwarfed dot-com mania." So it seems, it really is a very, very bad bubble that outcompetes with what we had during the dot-com boom. Any counterarguments? submitted by /u/Yanlii [link] [comments] Read More

Can we program a smart contract that rewards tokens to bitcoin miners who mine empty blocks?

A bitcoin transaction uses an estimated 20,000 times more energy than a VISA transaction. Bitcoiners have no desire to do anything about it and merely badmouth those who bring the issue up. Whether we like it or not, the value of cryptocurrencies increases by virtue of their dominance. Bitcoin derives a lot of its value from the fact that it's the largest cryptocurrency. The economic system of the future will be built around one cryptocurrency. It's likely going to be either Bitcoin or Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin has spent years working on a solution that will allow us to move away from Proof of Work towards a truly energy efficient cryptocurrency. We now live in a window of opportunity, during which the world decides what protocol will become the dominant cryptocurrency. Will it be a protocol that uses 20,000 times more energy than a credit card transaction, or will it be a protocol that's truly intended to make the world a better place? At current growth rates, Bitcoin wo

These two concepts don't make sense

Ok guys I'm new to crypto trading. I only did a few trades so far (successful trades yeeey). I am learning new things every day, watching videos etc. Everybody (datadash, suppoman) says these two things: 1) Buy low, sell high 2) Use stop loss These two together don't make sense to me. For example lets say I buy 1 Monero for $160. The price goes down to $140. Why would I put a stop loss here? Instead I would rather buy more monero because the price is even better now (remember buy low, sell high). Maybe stoploss is a good strategy if you are day trading, but I don't see it as a good thing if you are investing. So how can I use the stop loss + buy low together? submitted by /u/negative_comments_ [link] [comments] Read More

Cashback on Binance trading fees

If you trade alt coins, I have something that could be of interest to you. TLDR: We use Binance’s referral program as a cash back system. You sign up with BinanceReferral.com to Binance, generate trading fees, we get half as trading commission, and we give half back to you on an ethereum address. This is equivalent to a 25% cash back on your trading fees on Binance. What is Binance? You must know Binance by now, it’s been gaining popularity recently and it is justified: it is one of the best crypto exchanges out there for crypto to crypto. There are two reasons for its success: Liquidity is good, Trading fees are very low: 0.1% market maker and taker —> further reduced to 0.05% if you use the Binance token to pay for your trading fees (strongly recommended!) This is simply the best out there if you are market taker, and otherwise for market making only ether delta for erc20 tokens is better with 0% trading fee - but etherdelta is not for everybody. Get 25% cashback on you

Gatehub a Warning-Weak technology and platform

I tried to transfer BTC from Coinbase to gatehub and after nearly 24 hours my money is still missing. The transfer has already been fully verified from what I can see, so it’s just gatehub being a shit platform. They advertise a 1 hr transaction time. I am reading a lot of forum posts about the problems at gatehub. Terrible customer service, long transaction times etc. ..so wondering how I go about recovering my BTC? Worried it won’t ever show up in gatehub. As of right now I wouldn’t transfer any money to gatehub as a new US user. It seems nearly impossible to use, there are serious tech issues with their site. One example being establishing a trust line which mysteriously fails every time you attempt it. My story isn’t unique with them, so would be very cautious before transferring any large amount of money to them. submitted by /u/LLRichard77 [link] [comments] Read More

I want to invest in IOTA but they are deleting my questions

I have played around with iota wallet there were a lot of bugs and I was curious if I was doing something wrong. my following post was deleted: " IOTA wallets just feels buggy to me. Am I doing something wrong? I have just started experimenting with it and it just feels buggy and broken. I tried to get some iota from a faucet and it was a horrendous process. It didn't show up in my android wallet. After some time, multiple of them showing up. And then there is a 0 iota transaction pending. I tried sending some to my mac wallet. It's still pending and I don't get it. I want to invest but don't know if I will given the circumstances." so what is up with these unhelpful people? do you invest in iota? submitted by /u/radressss [link] [comments] Read More

Beware of Gatehub-weak platform

I have attempted to open and transfer a small amount of BTC to gatehub. A 1 hour transaction according to the gatehub website. My transaction has been fully confirmed for almost a day and yet my btc is still not in my wallet. After doing some research it seems many people have had the same problem. It is hard to track how many people get their issue resolved and how many are losing their currency permanently. They send emails telling you to “establish a trust line” which always seems to fail when you follow the instructions to do so. I would not recommend gatehub at this point. They need to fix their platform. submitted by /u/LLRichard77 [link] [comments] Read More

I'm poor and currently own One Casascius Bitcoin and Fifty Five Dash. Advice one what I should be doing with it?

A long time ago a friend of mine introduced me to Bitcoin and I bought 6 of them for $50 a piece. When the price doubled I sold half and got my original investment out. Since then I've traded a little and lost some but ended up owning 1 physical Casascius Bitcoin and 55 DASH. I've held on to this amount for years now. I had some money saved up and quit my dead end job to finish studying for the CCNA exam and am now left wondering what to do with it. I currently have enough saved to live on for the next 6 months but I cant decide what to do with these coins? Any advice? I could sell them all, 15K each week till they were gone. I could sell all but 20%. I could sell all the DASH and keep the physical Bitcoin, which is hard to sell. I can't decide what to do. Each time I've sold a little I end up regretting it, but holding on to them makes me worry. That in six months they may no little value when I need them too. Of course, I should have the CCNA done and a new job by th
