Uncertainty Dominates as China Continues to Clamp Down on Cryptocurrencies

China is clamping down on cryptocurrency, that much is clear. But while the developing story dominates headlines, a notable trend is the lack of official information. Chinese officials seem to systematically decline requests for comments, local sources are willing to provide information on condition of anonymity only, while leaked documents remain unverified.Despite this lack of clarity, heres whats known so far.Effects on TradingThe most important thing we know for sure is that Chinese bitco

Bitcoin Price Analysis Amid Continuing China Rumors, BTC Fails to Break Key Resistance

When it rains, it pours. Last week, news began to hit the crypto community that China was taking harsh measures to reign in their various cryptocurrency exchanges. Several exchanges closed down and others were given a deadline to properly cease trading operations. This news came hard on the heels of recent directives that banned ICOs in China, leading to dramatic drops in cryptocurreny prices across the board. After this latest news settled, bitcoin managed to slightly rally before topping out

Allocation advice (risk vs. reward vs. logistical PITA)

My current allocations are: Bitcoin 45.14% Litecoin 16.00% Ethereum 15.11% Monero 11.34% Bitcoin Cash 6.85% BAT 2.84% Ark 2.07% District0x 0.64% I'm looking to re-allocate, and introduce a few new coins to increase moon gainz chances AKA spread the risk/reward a little more, but I don't think I want to own like 30 CCs total, because it would be way too much of a PITA to manage/keep abreast of. Below are some of my current considerations. OMG : 3-4% for moon potential? IOTA : 2-3% for moon potential? ZRX : 3% for moon potential? Has actual operating code. Air : Like BAT for mobile. Maybe I'll split my 2.84% BAT between both (so 1.42% each) ? Lisk High risk / high hype. Maybe worth 3%? NEM demi-moon candidate. Maybe worth 3%? Golem : I dig the concept. Even with the delays, at least they've actually made something. Maybe worth 1-2%? NEO : seems like this is its own beast. Probably worth a 2-3% allocation. Metal : Seems high risk. IDK about

Can I place multiple stop orders on Bittrex? If so, how?

New to trading here. Using Bittrex. Let's say, for example, I have 1 random-coin. What I want to be to able to do is this: I want to have a sell-stop order of 0.5 coin and a sell order of 2.0 coin. Meaning, if my coin hits 0.5, it sells but if it goes up to 2.0, it also sells. Now I know how to do the first one, the sell-stop, I select the units, select the price I'd like to sell at, and set a condition for 0.5. But Bittrex won't let me set another conditional sell order for those units, for instance, the sell order of 2.0 coin. Is this how all exchanges work? Is there a way for me do this? Thanks from a noob. submitted by /u/acryptonoob [link] [comments] Read More

Spheris Blockchain-based Application Distribution Platform Launches Crowdsale

Israeli blockchain startup Spheris is starting its anticipated crowdsale today, a few days after releasing their first pre-alpha public software version of Catalog & Browser. The company is offering attractive bonuses throughout the crowdsale, with first two days having a 20% bonus for early bird investors. Spheris is an open source decentralized application marketplace, aimed at replacing centralized leadership by large corporations. When compared with traditional app stores, Spheris seems to have an edge over the competition; they are giving developers a secure platform with no registration or transaction fees, instant payments, no restrictions or unfair censorship and customizable subscription system which will allow for many app leasing use cases. Spheris app store users will be able to have a complete decentralized experience, without the need for banks or credit card companies in order to buy and sell apps. http://ift.tt/2hfz9OX submitted by /u/coincrypto [link] [

OMG! Ethereum is going to hardfork!

Yesterday I reacted to this post: http://ift.tt/2ynOzsa My conclusion was that a lot of people have a lot of questions about the upcoming hardforks. I decided to spend some time and explain what will happen and what you should do. What should you do? NOTHING. Yes. It's that simple. Why? Ok, here's the gist of it. Hardfork = Update. In Ethereum, hardforks have been planned and part of the roadmap right from the start. Ethereum started out as 'Frontier' then hardforked to 'Homestead' (where we currently are). Next fork will be 'Metropolis' which is divided into two separate forks: 'Byzantium' and 'Constantinople'. (This wasn't planned, but since some deadlines were missed, it got cut into two separate forks) After Metropolis there will be another fork called 'Serenity'. This is when mass adoption is expected. 'But why is there ETC?' You might ask? 'Why will the current fork not result in a new token?'

List of coins with payouts and amount of %?

As some might know, holding NEO will automatically generate GAS (check out www.neotogas.com ). Also SHIFT is a coin that generates payouts after voting for delegates. With these 2 coins im getting an estimate 100 usd per month for HODLing. I know that ARK has something similar but I was wondering what other coins do the same? Besides a full list of coins that can have payouts, the amount of dividend would also be very interesting. If your strategy is HODL this might be very usefull.
