When to buy Ethereum?

Hey guys, I'm new to cryptocurrency and would appreciate a bit of advice. I have read about Ethereum and have decided it's something I could get behind for the long haul. I want to spend around $2000 on it and hold onto it but I'm unfamiliar with the market structure so I'm wondering if I should take the plunge now or wait for a correction. Do you think it will continue to go up or am I better off having patience? submitted by /u/S3vro [link] [comments] Read More

Kraken reduces BTC fees (by batching transactions)

Just received an email from kraken: "This is a follow-up to our last email announcing an increase in the bitcoin (XBT) and tether (USDT) withdrawals fees, and a reduction in the Gnosis token (GNO) deposit address fee. Bitcoin withdrawals now batched to reduce cost Many clients have said they prefer a lower bitcoin withdrawal fee even if it means slower transactions. Accordingly, we are now sending withdrawals together in batches to reduce cost. This allows us to reduce the bitcoin withdrawal fee to: 0.001 XBT We are pleased to offer clients a significantly reduced fee, but keep in mind that bitcoin withdrawals will be a bit slower due to the batching. Withdrawals will take anywhere from 2 minutes to 5 minutes longer to broadcast to the network while waiting to be batched together with other payments." submitted by /u/OIIOIIOIIO [link] [comments] Read More

Summer Crypto Trading Plan Help

Hello! I've been reading stocks for about 3 years now with decent results and now I'm going to start with Cryptocurrencies. I'm not a noob when it comes to Bitcoin and Altcoins but I would still appreciate some advice on my trading plan for this summer. Basically here it is: Every week add 50 into my Bitrex/Polienex account Divide my account equally into 5 different coins 2 coins are automatically going to be Bitcoin and Ethereum Other 3 can be more risky shitcoins (Need Recommendations) At the end of 3 months cash out account Sounds good? I sent bitcoin to my USDT wallet on a large US-based exchange. Is it recoverable?

The bitcoin was sent from another exchange and I used my USD Tether wallet address instead of my bitcoin wallet address. It was over a week ago and I haven't heard anything from support yet but I'm curious if I can expect to get my bitcoin back or is it lost? Apparently it depends on which currencies are involved but I can't find anything online about this kind of situation. Anybody know? submitted by /u/evalescere [link] [comments] Read More

Exchange rate Tips and Tricks help

Hey gang, this is my first post so I apologize if I do something wrong. So I been following altcoins for a bit now and finally decided to purchase. I originally bought ETH on coinbase, then exchanged for Lisk via poloniex at 2.9. It's looking promising yay! My question is there an easier way of figuring the exchange rate besides doing the math? So when I eventually exchange them, should I do it back to ETH and then cash out or do it through bitcoin? I guess the TLDR is what is the best way to calculate exchange rates and the best financial way if I want to cash out. Much love submitted by /u/Totoz11 [link] [comments] Read More

Thoughts on Polybius and PLBT tokens?

Dropped about $125 in btc on PLBT tokens a few days after the ICO, have a bit more than 15 tokens right now because of the 20% bonus. They say that the tokens can be sold or transferred once the ICO is finished, and that PLBT tokens will likely find their way to major exchanges. I'm hoping for a quick spike in profit once the ICO is over, and another after listing on an exchange for a quick pump and dump. What's your trading/investment plan in the days/weeks prior to and following August 1st?

Given the segwit decision for bitcoin and the uncertainty following it, it's likely bitcoin will experience a drop in the near future while people move their money to other cryptos or Fiat as a precaution. What are your thoughts on the way the market will move? Personally I've been considering splitting half of my amount into litecoin and ethereum, though I may just end up holding Fiat in the end if I'm not convinced of either. submitted by /u/hjras [link] [comments] Read More

Coinbase and Kraken

I am fairly new to crypto investing and have been doing research on various cryptocurrencies and block chains to invest in, decided on my top 5 to allocate funds into. Then i researched into wallet exchanges to deposit USD/Fiat and purchase BTC or Ether, then transferring that money to an exchange (Poloniex, GDAX, or Bittrex) to purchase altcoins. I browsed through various subs here on reddit to do some due diligence on Coinbase and Kraken and I see nothing but several threads of complaints where people are having issues such as not getting verified for weeks, not being able to link their bank accounts, funds not showing up on the exchage once transferred from a bank account, and several threads where people were not able to withdraw any Fiat currency at all. And Customer Support is basically non-existent, Given that this space is not well regulated to protect people like me if any of the the above scenarios happen and i have to rely solely on the exchange companies doing the right

Questions regarding the key figures

Hello guys, i have some question regarding the key figures on coinmarketcap.com: 1. Does the "24 h Volume" only include the value of the coins which got traded in the last 24 hours or are the coins which got send from one wallet to another wallet also included in that key figure? 2. If the "24h Volume" does not include the coins which got send from one wallet to another, is there a way to find out how much of a coin got transfered between all of its wallets in the last 24h? Waiting time on bittrex vs poloniex vs shapeshift

Hi everybody. I wanted to use shapeshift for some golem buying and i've been reading about some absurd waiting times ( 4-6 hours ). I don't like this at all as I'm trying to buy at a low, not whenever the system wants to fulfill my transaction. I'm new at this and I didn't use any exchange untill now.
