What cryptocurrency exchange supports the most currencies?

I have relevantly low exposure to cryptocurrency trading and am genuinely interested of what cryptocurrency exchange supports the most currencies on your opinion? I have checked the exchanges noted on the sidebar and it seems that most of them support up to 50 currencies if I am not mistaken. Moreover, is the trading done mostly with USD/EUR or with Bitcoin when trading with altcoins? submitted by /u/SiberianBear [link] [comments] Read More

OMG vs VTC

Currently my portfolio is 50% IOTA 25% OMG and 25% VTC. I really like iota and plan to continue holding it, both because of how awesome the coin is and because I think the price is great. Now I'm planning to put a little more money in, and I am thinking about putting that into vtc and also moving some or all of my omg to vtc. While I think they are both good coins, I think vtc is fundamentally better bc asics. I also think the price of vtc is a bit better right now, I think it seems poised for a good bull run, and there seems to be a lot more hype about vtc and general sentiment in favor of it, which also suggests that the price will increase. What do people think about omg vs vtc? Would you agree that it is better enough to warrant moving funds from omg to vtc? And would you think that I have time to leave my omg for a little longer before moving it to vtc, or do you think I stand to miss some sizable gains by waiting just a few days? Thanks friends. VTC to the moon! submitte

Why do people prefer the upgraded Bitcoin Cash over Bitcoin Segwit? Here's the reasons.

Ever since Bitcoin had an upgrade into Bitcoin Cash on 1st August 2017, I have been bullish for Bitcoin Cash’s long term future. As follows are my personal opinions on why I feel Bitcoin Cash is the future of digital cash over the legacy Bitcoin. Better Security – Bitcoin has a vulnerability called RBF which increases the risk of double spending. Bitcoin Cash developers aim to make 0-confirmation transactions safe again so that anyone accepting Bitcoin Cash is much safer accepting payments without having to wait for multiple confirmations. Improved Scalability – Bitcoin is limited to 1MB block size and even with Segwit activated, the capacity increase is only around 1.7x whereas the upgraded Bitcoin Cash blocks capacity is currently at 8x with no limitations. This means Bitcoin Cash can handle Visa/Mastercard transactions volume in the future with another upgrade. Supply Scarcity – During the fork from Bitcoin, some Bitcoin Cash supply were removed from active circulation due to us

Accumulate as much cheap vertcoin as possible now! Bgold is about to be sold for well developed, non pre-mined, community driven, truly ASIC resistant people's coin! Go VTC Go!

Looking for place to trade in USA, can't seem to find a good exchange

I'm working with millions, so I need to be able to use stoplosses and also be able to bet with margin. I'm currently on gemini, but need a better solution. I was able to sign up for bitmex using TOR, but it's a bit sketchy and I haven't been able to make the margin work correctly (it defaults back to 1x). Is there a site or tool that aggregates investment & profit/loss?

As an investor / trader, I'm interested in aggregating all of my investments in one place, to see overall profit/loss in USD. I currently use Coinbase, Bittrex, and Binance. I don't trade frequently, so I'd be okay manually inputting trade information if there weren't API's available to pull and calculate automatically. Is there a site / tool - preferably free - that does this? I see a lot of options in the sidebar, but none of them seem to do exactly what I'm looking for. Will give free KMD coins to the person that helps me fix this! Please help me retrieve the KMD coins that seem to have disappeared!

I'd be extremely grateful. I downloaded the swing wallet and sent a solid amount of KMD to it from my Bittrex account. When I look on the blockchain explorer, it shows that my address clearly contains X amount of KMD -- but in my wallet, it shows zero. I've tried everything I can think of, including downloading the newest updated swing wallet for Mac, but I simply cannot figure out how to get back these coins. tldr: I have KMD coins -- as well as the private key attached to the address -- but can't seem to retrieve them. Please help a poor guy out. I will gladly send you a portion of what I have in return for your kindness. Thank you all! submitted by /u/RedditMonster2 [link] [comments] Read More

Technology & Choice #23, People and Projects at the Texas Bitcoin Conference (part 1)

I had some great talks with folks at the Texas Bitcoin Conference in late October. This episode: Paul Puey, CEO of Airbitz and the new Edge wallet, on taking the core concepts and success of Airbitz and taking it to a new level of reach and implementation, rebranding as Edge, and making it much more than just a wallet, but a real tool for security. Julian Smith, Pres. and CEO of Blockfreight, about integrating blockchain tech into the vastly important movement of freight round the world. Dhruv Bansal, Co-founder and CSO, Unchained Capital, about why "friends don't let friends sell Bitcoin" and the advantages of borrowing rather than selling an appreciating asset. John Bushe, Pres. and Permaculture Designer for ZeroWaste, about the vast resources squandered in wasteage, the opportunities and benefits of exploiting them, and how blockchain tech is being targeted for integration to improve outcomes. [Manipulation] Notes on the transparency of Tether and Bitcoin market manipulation

I would like to share some alarming signs of Bitcoin price manipulation. Bitcoin price is about 10 times of what it was a year ago. The exchange that decisively sets Bitcoin price is Bitfinex, a secretive institution with unknown beneficiary structure and place of organization. http://ift.tt/2o5hP19 Bitfinex had its wire services suspended by Wells Fargo in April. To resume trading, Bitfinex enlisted the help of Tether, another company with unknown beneficiary structure and place of organisation, but based on announcements is likely under common share holder control with Bitfinex. Tether sells crypto-tokens known as USD Tethers, or USDTs, that are purportedly backed by an equal number of US dollars. In other words, each USDT is a digital good priced at USD 1.00. Despite the promise of "100% reserve" and the vague reference to "24×7 access to your funds" on Tether’s website, there is no contractual right, either tacit or express, for one USDT to be redeemed for

To late to more portion out of BTC and into the top 5 alts?

As I think I should have moved right after the can of Sx2 yesterday, but was too busy with the day job, I look at BTC now at under $7200, am I too late to move into some of the top 5 alts like ETH, Rip, & LTC? I'm looking at the spike they're having, and this would be be taking 35% of my BTC at a low, and buying 3 alts at a high. Who know if this spike all these alts are enjoying will hold, or if BTC will rebound more and head up again, and I was better off just sitting on BTC. Perhaps I'm better off sitting on it, and when BTC goes up, and Alts slack off, then I can move that 25% portion into those 3 alts I'm eying. Decisions. I'm clearly still new at this, and not wanting to be emotional or sentimental. submitted by /u/Data_Geek [link] [comments] Read More

What is the best exchange for someone looking to keep fees low and do some trading? [X-Post r/Cryptocurrency]

It seems like Bittrex is the preferred around here; any others I should look into? I'm in the US, if it matters. I've spent the past week trying to get un-burned by Coinbase, so I'm trying to cut all communications with them (as soon as they give me my damn money...) I think I'd like to Long Monero and BTC (maybe BCH) and then fuck around with daytrading on a few alts. Any tips or advice is appreciated, Thanks! submitted by /u/Zarathustra420 [link] [comments] Read More

Bitfinex & U.S.

Howdy, folks! Bitfinex now denies service to US citizens - but does anyone know exactly what that entails? I'm assuming that I can't withdraw USD or other fiat. But I'm wondering if I can send over ETH or BTC to trade for alts, then transfer the alt back to my wallet. Anyone have experience with that? Do I need to be verified to even transfer coins? submitted by /u/Subterminal303 [link] [comments] Read More

I finally got round to setting up HODL.social yesterday

I had been intending to set this up for a while as I have been thinking it would be great to have a Twitter-like platform for the active crypto community to discuss crypto and blockchain. As a fan of blockchain myself, I setup hodl.social just out of curiosity to see if it would be useful to other people who, like me, love talking about crypto stuff. Yes, I know there is already FB and there is Reddit and there is Twitter itself, but I think the crypto ecosphere is active enough and large enough to have its own platform. So I set up hodl.social. It's based on the excellent software Mastodon, a free and open-source Twitter clone which I run on my own dedicated server. No spam, no selling data to third parties, I promise. It's brand new so of course, feedback welcome. https://hodl.social/ More info on Mastodon: http://ift.tt/2m8GTYU(software submitted by /u/itslikethatman [link] [comments] Read More
