Introducing r/WeTheCrypto - New subreddit to compliment r/CryptoMarkets and to further our crypto curiosity

Reddit is a fantastic source of information, and subreddits like r/CryptoMarkets help cultivate important discussions about the emerging technology of blockchain, variations of it, and investment strategies surrounding these technologies. But as the size of this subreddit rapidly expands, the access to pertinent information dwindles. With each moon vs. lambo argument, we lose the ability to decipher insight from misinformation.

We are looking to consolidate all of the best and most substantiated arguments into one heavily monitored subreddit. The sleepless market generates more information than mainstream news outlets can report on, and the stories we eventually receive offer biased and shallow analysis focused on generating clicks, site traffic, and increasing viewership. On Reddit, Twitter, Telegram, Slack, and other communication platforms, we seek real time information, but struggle to navigate truth from fiction. Links from anonymous Internet users may lead to phishing attacks, as we are handicapped by speculation and limited in our ability to make rational investing decisions.

In r/WeTheCrypto, posts will be audited by veteran Reddit users committed to approving unbiased, researched, quantitatively focused posts. While comments will not be censored, they will be sharply critiqued. Opinions will be clearly labeled as such, facts will be sourced, and all citation links included in posts will be pre-screened and safe. Research on the upside and downside of each coin, chain, fork, or other tantalizing development is thoroughly encouraged.

To incentivize high quality original content and thoughtful community participation, contributors will be rewarded by an IOTA tip bot, which you can then hold, sell, or trade at your own discretion. As a show of our commitment to this idea, we have preloaded the Tipping Bot with 0.5 BTC worth of IOTA. We aim to create an atmosphere surrounded by tipping. High quality content takes time and thoughtfulness to prepare and users should be rewarded for their hard work.

r/WeTheCrypto is not looking to replace r/CryptoMarkets, but rather to act as a supplement in order to enable one another to nurture our crypto curiosity. We all know that the best kind of shill and the most useful kind of FUD are those that are based in fact. The roots of education are bitter, but the fruits are sweet.

Find out who, how, why, and more at r/WeTheCrypto.
