PBC Blatant Fraud
I realize that my post regularly gets deleted... However, PBC committed fraud today by telling 250,000 people they would receive "free bitcoin." I was not expecting to receive much and was planning to pay to subscribe until I watched them commit fraud. Unreal... I Built A Crypto News/Content Aggregator, Feedback Welcome!
While purchasing cryptocurrency finding/keeping track of news/content was a pain in the ass. I had a small amount of free time so I decided to create an aggregator. I spent a few hours gathering social media links, icons, and crypto youtube channels. I plan to sell all my bitcoins before the fork, here is why.
I'm a general hodler, I've kept my bitcoins in cold storage for several years but plan to move them to an exchange and trade them for one or more major altcoins. I would love some feedback on my reasoning here, it's pretty speculative. First of why sell the coins? Most people flock to bitcoin prior to the fork, they want to cash in on the altcoins whose value has been established on the futures market. But I want to go the other way, the reason is that just prior to the fork, the value of the new coins is already priced in and the value will drop with the same amount after the fork. This is usually what happens when a stock has a planned payout, the price drops after. In the last fork we saw a total increase of the price, that was because there was a lot of risk for trouble for bitcoins first hard-fork ever and no-one knew how it would go. On approximately November 18, Bitcoin will split into two chains: Segwit1x and Segwit2x. Because these chains share the same proof-of-work function (PoW) and neither change the difficulty adjustment algorithm (DAA), it is unlikely that both will survive simultaneously. Investing in Bitcoin can make you hundreds. Investing in Alt coins can make you thousands (for small investments)
As someone who has always carried Bitcoin, it's just too late in the game to make LOTS of money with Bitcoin (if you have less than $7,000 to invest). Even if you buy 1 Bitcoin today for $7,000, it'll take weeks or months for it to hit $8,000. And through all that time you'll have made $1,000. That sounds good, but WHAT if you invested your money in an upcoming alt coin. EXAMPLE: you take $7,000 and dump it into an altcoin, and the price doubles (10+ coins have done that last month). You'll have $14,000 (a ridiculous $7.000 profit). Go look at Vertcoin or Groestl or ZenCash or OkCash or almost any of the top trading coins on Bittrex. They've doubled or more in a matter of WEEKS. That's 100% profit growth. Meanwhile Bitcoin goes up and down, and on crazy nights like this goes up 10% (wooo). Unless you have a couple of Bitcoin, that's not very exciting.
