Made a simple portfolio app for Android

I know what you're thinking... "Another one?!?". However, I thought I'd share with you, a simple portfolio app I've made for Android. CryptoTrax offers a simple, permission less, registration less, no frills way of keeping track of your crypto portfolio value. Simply add or remove coins and see your current portfolio value. I'm sure there are more advanced portfolio apps out there but maybe some of you will find it useful. Thanks and any feedback is welcome. submitted by /u/steveCrypto [link] [comments] Read More

What is the difference between trading in a BTC market vs. ETH market

I am looking into buying some shares of ANS on Bittrex.... Just wondering if there's really a big difference in how I obtain ANS? It seems like ETH-ANS is the cheaper market to do this transaction... unless I'm completely missing something. submitted by /u/IVDeliBruh [link] [comments] Read More

Financial Theory: ICOs are starting to look like “Tulipmania” during the Dutch Golden Age.

Circa 1600 AD in the Dutch Republic, tulip bulbs (yes, the flower) were introduced into the market. A frenzy ensued. People began purchasing the bulbs only with the intention of reselling them for more later. Few people actually planned on planting the bulbs and growing the flowers. The prices eventually crashed (aka corrected) because few people actually wanted to buy, keep, and grow the bulbs. This is thought to be the first example of a “Speculative Bubble” in recorded history. We have seen many since (2000 .com bubble, 2008 real estate bubble to name a recent few). In each case, the market value unhinged from its intrinsic value. To dive deeper, check out this link: http://ift.tt/QgHrrg The only way to avoid this is to build utility for what is being purchased. In other words, it has to be used for something. Again, I urge the community to refocus its attention to using digital currency for something. Ask your local retailers to accept them and use them to pay for things. Th

Trading on yuan bao? is it possible from NA? anyone on that exchange want to make a profitable trade?

I was wondering if this is at all possible from Canada, I am wanting to use this legitimately, have no problems providing passport etc, but it doesnt seem to be available. Is there any way to do this? there is a coin that has a low value in north america, but 2x the value on yuan bao. if there is any way possible to send it there, sell it for cny, trade cny back on an exchange to USD, I will gladly share the coin info. This could be extremely profitable, not sure if this sort of thing is frowned upon here, please let me know and I will delete the post if so. submitted by /u/Neurotrauma [link] [comments] Read More

Where are you guys storing your altcoins?

Just found out that my Ledger Nano S can hold 4 different types of currencies and then it's "full" and requests that I uninstall apps. Pretty disappointing to be honest. Anyway, I've had a look around and it seems like wallets store a random array of the more alternative coins, which will leave me with a bunch of wallets on my PC.... not ideal. I was looking at things like Ripple, Dash, Monero, Zcash, etc. submitted by /u/OsirisSFN [link] [comments] Read More

Ripple Question

I have read many time " there are 100 billion ripple vs (enter anything)" but, if some banks where to adopt it could they not just by large amounts and hold them? If bought and held XRP would be taken out of the market. Cryptocurrency tickers

Interested to know what crypto tickers everyone is using to monitor coin prices? I'm looking for a decent chrome ticker that allows multiple coins to be monitored at the same time, the only ones I've found so far only allow 1 coin to be monitored at a time which is a pain when you want to see several at the same time. Does anyone know of any extensions that do this? Thanks submitted by /u/web233 [link] [comments] Read More

Opinions on Siacoin's cloud hosting platform? You mine Siacoins by hosting files, and their current storage rates are 10x less than AWS

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some insight on how useful or competitive Siacoin's file hosting platform is. You mine Siacoins by hosting parts of files, and they claim for their cloud storage rates to be significantly lower than that of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. You need to have 2,000 Siacoins in order to begin hosting files and earning Siacoins. I know much of the cryptocurrency pricing today is effected by speculation, but I was wondering if anyone knows how it compares to the speed, availability, and usefulness of platforms like Amazon Web Services. I am asking because I really like Siacoin's approach to use cryptocurrency for tangible cloud hosting, as it is reminiscent of Torrents, but am hoping to get other opinions on the current state and potential of their platform. Do you think their platform is ready to used on a professional level, or if it has potential? submitted by /u/bitcoinkim [link] [comments] Read More

Best way to manage and store six figures of crypto?

I have a few friends that are very technically challenged but want me to handle $100k+ of bitcoin/ether/etc. Curious to see what people would advise is the best way to store and manage crypto in that scale.
