Remember when Eth ship sailed @ $50??

Everyone saying neo is dead is just plain wrong. There are still hundreds of billions $$ waiting to be poured into the cryptomarket. If we could go back. Id pull all the equity out of my house and buy eth @ $50 when everyone at the time thought you'd missed the train submitted by /u/92supreme [link] [comments] Read More

Should I just out of Synero (AMP)

Title edit: Jump* out Bought in around .40, its climbed back closer but the subreddit and news seem pretty dead, didn't put too much money into it. Should I take the L and move the money to a better performer? or am I missing anything? submitted by /u/TheMagicChonch [link] [comments] Read More

liqui.io transfers, SNT token

attempted to move some of my SNT tokens today, as always I moved a small amount first to make sure I got the addresses right, etc... That was over 12 hours ago. It gave me a txid that when I search on http://ift.tt/2sPFtEv it returns no matches. I'm wondering now what to do. convert them to btc or eth and attempt to transfer my value off? not sure now. Its not an earth shattering amount of money but its enough that I definitely want it... submitted by /u/spitlead [link] [comments] Read More

BTC-e FBI Seizure

Does anyone have any information on this from the FBI side of things? Is there some kind of a press release / statement from the FBI? How am I at fault as a user? How can they just steal my securities like that? Without giving any notice after the fact? And I have to find out myself from the internet? Ok, cool, you arrested the servers because money got stolen from mt. gox (allegedly), but hey, you've just stolen my money! submitted by /u/etherman975 [link] [comments] Read More

CoFoundIt (CFI) jumped into the top 100 and back out - the coins volume is very high compared to it's market cap. It's current price also still under the ICO price. Does this mean it's undervalued?

Would love for someone to correct me as I presume that in undervalued coins is one who's 1) market cap < Funding 2) volume > than alts in same 24 hour volume 3) ICO price > Current price The above later always makes certain coins expose and rocket for 2x 3x but then go down in value. Is this one of them? Am I mistaken? Glad someone could correct me pls!!! submitted by /u/EthtrepreneurF6Ser [link] [comments] Read More

Can't finalize my portfolio!

Hey guys, So I'm very new to this space. Have been researching and reading a lot on cryptocurrency over the past 2 months and I think I'm ready to finally create my portfolio. As a noob, I don't want to invest too much money initially and see how it goes month by month. With that being said, here is a list of coins I'm interested in but am finding it difficult to come up with the initial 5 coins I should be investing in. This is where I need your help. Without further ado: Litcoin, Vertcoin,Factom, Monero, Lisk, NEM, district0x, Ark, BAT What coins do you think I'm missing? Any other thoughts? I plan to HODL for 3+ years and not day trade. I will be investing a steady amount every month in my 5 coins. Thanks everyone! submitted by /u/P4100354 [link] [comments] Read More

Crazy Bittrex glitch (?), for my good luck. Anyone else seen this happen?

Hello everybody! I've been doing a bit of day trading recently, and just as I was about to sell a couple of NEO tokens for 0.01 BTC each, I accidentally put them up for sale for 0.001 BTC. Somehow I did not lose my money, and I ended up with the same amount of BTC that I would have if I had sold them correctly! Anyone else seen this happen? Is this a glitch or some smart code by Bittrex to deal with these typo situations? submitted by /u/iamrv [link] [comments] Read More

Another use for my crypto

So i'm traveling overseas, and found that the exchange rates for my currency to the foreign one is actually insane. Instead, i send my friend the amount of BTC to cash out for me! Other than the exchange fees(btc -> fiat) there's nothing more to pay! Gave my friend a lil extra and still saved tons of cash. The same for the money left over, have my friend send it back to me in crypto ;) Thanks crypto! submitted by /u/EksitNL [link] [comments] Read More

Need help with spreadsheet, brainfart

Calling all spreadsheet nerds! I got a spreadsheet on my own to keep track of my portfolio. But I cannot wrap my head around the calculations needed for when you use a currency such as BTC or ETH to buy another currency. For instance, when you buy NEO for BTC for example. Let's say you spend 1 BTC to buy X amount of NEO. Would the price of BTC then be "locked in" at the time of purchasing NEO (maybe at 2400), or would the price keep going on/down depending on the market? So that 1 day you might have spent more money while other days you'll have spent less. As in, you would have to take the amount of BTC you used, then multiply it by the current price. Real life example: I used 0.2 ETH to buy some ICN when they were low. However, on Kraken I can't see how much EUR that amount of ETH corresponds to at the given time, as my history just says 0.2 ETH. How would I find how much EUR that I actually spent on that purchase? Thanks submitted by /u/PessimisticKa

The Crypto J-Curve

I've just read this article which was posted by Chris Burniske ( @cburniske ): http://ift.tt/2hUehjU In my own words, it explains how the price of a cryptoasset is composed of two factors. The current value (CV) & the speculative value (SV) (potential future value). Over time the ratios of CV & SV change, as speculators are first bullish about a given asset, but then lose faith. Once the cryptoasset is worked on for a while longer, the CV increase along with the SV (once again): creating a J shaped curve. The article uses bitcoin as an example. Figuring out profit/loss when using multiple trade pairs

Hi! I'm setting up a spreadsheet to help me keep track of my trades and the progress I'm making. One thing is bugging me a bit: I'm not too sure how to calculate (unrealized) gains when using multiple trade pairs. An example: Let's say one week ago I made two trades: Trade 1 = Bought 1 ETH for 250 USD Trade 2 = Sold 0.25 ETH for 5 "XCOINS" How am I supposed to calculate my (unrealized) gains so far? I would like to know them both in USD and BTC... Calculating my Cost Basis per Coin isn't an issue when I'm only trading through a single fiat/crypto, but this situation makes it difficult for me. Any help is more than welcome because I'm not exactly advancing on this point :) Kind regards! submitted by /u/pillouter [link] [comments] Read More

Best place for a Canadian to buy/trade crypto?

Full disclosure: my husband and I are playing around in the crypto space as an addendum to our love of stock trading. We are more than open to trades becoming investments should circumstances warrant. Currently I am using Coinsquare. I buy and hold (hodl?) in there as well, until I figure out how wallets work and if they are necessary in my case. My husband would like to get in on this, too, and he's asking me about Quadriga. Thus, I thought it prudent to post here and see what people with far more knowledge of these markets than I think of the various exchanges available for Canucks. What exchanges allow lending or margin funding?

I use P2P lending for margin trading service on the Bitfinex exchange, easy to use and good way to accumulate a bit of crypto while it also raises in value. Now, with Bitfinex closing its doors to US based customers, I was wondering if there were any other exchanges friendly to American customers that I could use instead. Have heard Polo has an option for it altho customer service leaves a lot to be desired, any others? submitted by /u/A_Stones_throw [link] [comments] Read More
