Your thoughts on Antshares/NEO

Im looking for your thoughts on what you think my best option may be in my position. I currently have almost everything I have invested in ETH and have high hopes for it in the coming year. My dilemma is, is that I want to invest in NEO, based on where it's at now and where it will be in 6-8 months from now, I feel like it will make some pretty big gains. even though ETH will make gains too, I'm not sure it will make the same gains in the same amount of time. Based on the returns you could get in the next 6-8 month with NEO would it be wise to invest some if not all my ETH into NEO? I'm new to this game as I'm sure you may have noticed but I would really appreciate your thoughts seeing as I haven't much more money to buy more ETH or BTC at the moment to turn into NEO. submitted by /u/harveymcnarvey [link] [comments] Read More

Which market should I trust?

I'm a noob and I'm about to invest $500. I've been doing some reading and watching the markets for the past week or so. I've decided to invest it, more or less equally, in monero, lightcoin, and antshare. So I'm about to pull the trigger and I really just noticed that depending on what market I check, the values can be considerably different. Which one is right or are they all right depending which one I am trying to buy/sell at at the time? submitted by /u/Karate_donkey [link] [comments] Read More

$10K/1-Year Crypto Experiment - 2-Month Check In

It's been about two months since I created this thread in which I asked all of you for advice choosing which 10 cryptocurrencies to invest my $10k of extra cash in. I was a complete noob at that time and have learned much since then, though still consider myself a noob. Here's a quick summary of what's happened in the last two months concerning my portfolio. So I had been ready to buy the same day I made that thread, on June 4th, 2017. If I had, I would have bought in when BTC was $2552 and ETH was $224. However, I could not buy in at that time because as a European I found it impossible to get set up on any exchange and get my identification validated. The wait time would be weeks. It was frustrating to not have my skin in the game, but I decided to use the time to research and develop an investment strategy. I quickly realized that between job and family, I was not going to have enough time to properly research all these different coins. All I could do was keep tabs o

How to view further up (the sell orders) or further down (the buy orders) on gdax's Order Book.

How to view further up (the sell orders) or further down (the buy orders) on gdax's Order Book. On other sites I can usually press a button to go to the next page of orders, scroll up or down further in the order book, or at least consolidate the decimals in order to show a broader range. On gdax I only see the closest orders of +- ~20 dollars for bitcoin and ~1 dollar for ether. submitted by /u/MindfulUniverse [link] [comments] Read More

How to see number of confirmations required for depositing on Bittrex?

Other exchanges have a page called "Coin Info" or something like that which states stats (block time, number of confirmations required etc) about the coins. I see Bittrex has a status page for their wallets but I can't find info on how many confirmations are required, how can I get this information before just blindly depositing. I was pretty surprised to see 20 confirmations required for BCH yesterday :S submitted by /u/how1231231 [link] [comments] Read More

Very dumb, basic question re: Poloniex trading

I'm very new to this, so forgive me if this is dumb. I took a flyer on a cheap altcoin today, bought a bunch low, sold it for slightly higher. However, even though I managed to buy $150 instantaneously, when I sold it, it only sold about $10 worth and the rest is still in my "open orders" page. Meanwhile, the price has dropped. Will my sell order still go through at the price I initially sold at? Or did price dip mean that I couldn't sell as much as I wanted at that price? submitted by /u/ShaneRyan24 [link] [comments] Read More

liqui.io selectively scamming token holders

Hello just a warning to all trading tokens on this exchange. I bought some TaaS tokens and withdrew them from the exchange to my wallet. They took the tokens but never sent them to me. They posted a fake TX (only input data but no tokens inside to be transferred) Withdrawal request TX link As you can see the input data contains a transfer command to my wallet for 424.5 tokens but they never added the tokens to the contract as they would be visible in the TX. Example of a valid token transfer I reported all my findings to them but they don't answer even when I see that they read my message (telegram). I also tried to call them but no answers for 2 days already. I got reports of other people transferring the same token successfully so I guess they are selectively scamming in order to keep people on their exchange longer. So be careful with dealing with this exchange! Well if you have coins/tokens on it there is nothing you can do anyway I just wish you luck. submitted by

What is an ICO? What are the risks to investing & why you should be cautious!

It seems like a new ICO (Initial Coin Offering) launches every single day but what is an ICO? And should you get involved? Well the answer is a bit more difficult than just a simple yes or no..... Firstly an ICO, which stands for initial coin offering, is a way for blockchain start-ups to raise funds for a new cryptocurrency venture. Usually the ICO will offer early backers X number of tokens in exchange for fiat currency or a different cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. The funds you give them are then used towards the initiation or operation of the project. So why would you do this? Simple answer! It's because you want to get in right at the start and hopefully watch your money grow enough to quit your job and retire on the moon! Ethereum is a great example of a blockchain start-up which began life as an ICO. Backers were offered 2000 "Ether" tokens, Ether is the native currency to the Ethereum blockchain, in exchange for 1 Bitcoin which at the time was app
