Newb Question on Trading

Howdy all, General question that I hope isn't out of place to ask on this sub... Only been mining few months so actually jumping into the crypto markets has been new experience to me still... And sure it can be great when you see a coin jump 50%, but every day I keep saying to myself "fuck, why didn't I convert to cash". Money sitting in the bank I don't have to worry about, my investments sitting in the stock market I don't have to worry about unless WWIII breaks out... But crypto markets, coins tank hard for no reason. So that brings me to my question, am I supposed to be using the USDT after I make trades? I'm just tired of making these slick extra profitable trades then finding myself back at square one few days later due to no fault of my own. Sure I want to hold some coins, but bills would like to be paid with the full profits too. Thanks for reading and any insights on proper ways to go about locking in the profits without constantly transferr

NEO has 4th biggest volume 4 days in a row! Could we see NEO approaching $100 by end if year? Probably not but closer to $50.

Just wanted to get your opinions about when you personally the correction is due and where you see NEO (realistically) by end of year. Pros: The project can rival ETH without a doubt but ETH has the head start. However, the dev community behind NEO can amass way quicker as it supports multiple coding languages which could switch some devs to stay away from solidity and rather go with code languages they are familiar with. NEO will integrate POS before ETH and can tackle any scalability issues before there network will be overloaded which gives them the edge in terms of scalability issues. They've seen ETH scalability issues and can learn from prior mistakes to avoid overloading there own network. China as a society is more inclined to adopt blockchain then all the western counties. For the blockchain to play a major part in the EU it would take ages given how many countries are part of the European union. If NEO receives support from the Chinese government and any other big or

What would YOU do with this portfolio? (Helping a friend to diversify - Check it out.)

Hello! My friend was well off way before e got into crypto, when he did get into it though, he made several great moves. And that's about it. He's been holding ever since. Right now, his portfolio consists of: 85% BTC 10% ETH 5% NEO He sold off 25% of his BCH holdings for 800$ each & cashed them out to USD. He lives in the U.S, if that matters. Should he sell some ETH for NEO? He is very reluctant when it comes to spending his BTC, he wants to hold them for at least one more year. BCH is another story. He's currently waiting for whatever happens in November. What would YOU do if you had his portfolio? How would you diversify, what would you buy - and what would you sell to buy it? Thanks! Buying all the supply or near all the supply of one coin?

Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking about finding a coin under a 10k market cap and buying all the coins I can, then I'm going to sell it on exchanges for outrageous prices, and I'm sure some people would pay. submitted by /u/Siaisthefuture [link] [comments] Read More

5 things you need to consider before investing in an ICO - Brought to you by the ICO Ninja.

In investing, what is comfortable is rarely profitable – Robert Arnott The cryptocurrency industry is an extremely fast moving and volatile place. With rumors that BTC could hit $1,000,000 as early as 2040 there’s no wondering why herds of inexperienced investors are flooding the crypto market looking to transfer their fiat currency in to BTC or other established cryptocurrencies. And with new blockchain start-ups launching their ICO opportunities almost every day. Investors like me and you need to be certain that we are backing genuine businesses with a passion to deliver their vision to the world. For that reason, we at [The ICO Ninja]( www.TheICONinja.com ) have created 5 things you need to consider before handing your hard earned cryptocash over to an ICO. Does the start-up have a working product? If not, do they at least have a working prototype? It’s amazing how many people contact The ICO Ninja to tell us that they’ve invested $1k, $3 or $5k in a certain ICO. When we loo

I want to give my money to an investment cryptobroker

Lol. I don't know how to trade, nor do I really want to. What I do want is to make my money grow. Am I right or what fellas? This may be a dumb post but I actually want to give my cryptos away to someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to day trading where I keep 80% and they keep 20% or something like that. Are there legit services that offer this? I am literally wanting to lend my capital to someone with expertise who would make money with it. Ta. submitted by /u/RJTolle [link] [comments] Read More

What about goldcoin (gld) ?

I saw goldcoin reaching 150% price increase today on Bittrex. I see it gaining some traction in the last months (according to its market cap), I saw some spikes like todays one (probably pumping). However, does anyone have some insights on it ? Does it have some organic (non-speculative) potential ? Why is its market cap extending ? Is goldcoin viable in some way or it is just another scam ? submitted by /u/bdteo [link] [comments] Read More

Stellar: The new ICO giant?

After the Mobis ICO sold out in milliseconds and they blogged why Stellar is a much better platform than Ethereum for ICOs many more are coming to Stellar. I just saw an announcement of Emmie Chang on the Stellar Slack: images Hey! We're looking for a developer to help us build a stellar project. we're based in SF, ex Y-combinator founders, and actually sitting in the room with Jed and Boris right now. DM me please if you're interested in working with us contract or potentially full tijme. Full stack engineer with knowledge of stellar protocol. We have a private member club / like a paid angejlist for access to ICO deals. The token we're using is SEED and we just decided to use Stellar as opposed to ERC-20 because we decided its superior And if you follow Jed you will see that they are trying to get much more ICOs on Stellar. The SDF is doing the groundwork, flying all around and meeting with big fish. People claim that ETH went up mostly because all this ridi

Who are these 'price blockers' and why do they do it?

Screenshots: http://ift.tt/2wsoNSX Recently I've noticed these weirdly specific buy/sell walls on GDAX (ETH-EUR) with only a €0.01 spread. They seem to be meant to keep the price in place, and as the screenshot shows it seems to work (for a limited amount of time). Which kind of people would be behind these setups and why would the be doing it? Thank you! submitted by /u/pillouter [link] [comments] Read More

BTC is Quickly Losing Investor Appeal - Here's One Factor Why

BTC mining difficulty is accelerating in it's increase. BTC miners control the fate of BTC & hold a massive proportion of BTC (unlike ETH). BTC has no transition to proof of stake planned. As mining difficulty increases rapidly certain mining pools will shut down. Any semblance of democratized control will be lost. Mining will quickly become completely centralized to Chinese mining farms. All protocol decisions will be upon decided by them. Chinese mining farms evidently don't care about the tech or the ecosystem. They care about profiting off of easy price manipulation, long & short. The is awful for the BTC ecosystem, it's prospects, and it's fate. And a massive detrimental factor to any prospective BTC investor. http://ift.tt/2vDtprN Few realize this. submitted by /u/elevenoh1 [link] [comments] Read More
