POLONIEX Pls expedite the LEVEL 2 verification process

Poloniex I have submitted all requested documents for level 2 verification for 3 weeks and there is nothing updated. All support tickets are either met with automatic bot replies or simply gone unnoticed. Seems that there is very little support out there for this issue. How is it possible to get it expedited or is there way at all to contact with this exchange? submitted by /u/jarodchang [link] [comments] Read More

Is a strong BTC price good/bad/irrelevant to my strategy?

Given my strategy below; is the current price of BTC irrelevant? Ie, if I wait for BTC to drop 5% it wont really have much affect on my strategy. Strategy I intend to create a very small diversified portfolio of cryptocurrencies to hold; ETH, BTC, BTS, LTC, LSK. AFAIK I cant purchase these currencies outright using USD or AUD (atleast not in Poloniex). I need to purchase another cryptocurrency (for eg, BTC) then trade BTC to XYZ (correct?). In the last week BTC has gone up quite a bit so I was thinking of holding off and waiting till BTC levels out or corrects (if it does at all). But I've kindof confused myself. Given my strategy above; is a strong BTC good, bad or irrelevant? submitted by /u/sqzr1 [link] [comments] Read More

Possible to deposit USD directly into Poloniex account? Or only BTC?

My question is quite elementary...but is it possible to deposit Australian Dollars (AUD) or USD directly into my Poloniex account to begin trading? Or is the only way; purchase BTC from a BTC exchange/market/other? then transfer the BTC to my Poloniex account? Relevant submitted by /u/sqzr1 [link] [comments] Read More

Hoping for Some Help Finding a Suitable Exchange

I've been trading off and on for about a year now on poloniex never getting any problems. Before I was only doing maybe 0.1 bitcoin max as this was (still widely is) just for fun. Recently though I had a string of successful investments and will be trading with 2 bitcoin soon. After doing some more reading into poloniex it seems that quite a few people have had some issues with them demanding an ID to successfully withdraw. I turn 18 in a few months but really don't want to stop trading until then. Is bittrex a better switch for me if I don't plan on withdrawing for a long time? I appreciate any help here, thanks. submitted by /u/lpmcgee [link] [comments] Read More

Thoughts on Iota?

IOTA looks extremely promising. Awesome tech, but what is the thought behind getting it prior to it hitting the exchanges? Is it probable that it will increase when it hits the market, or "equally" likely that the existing coins will tank in price? Looking for community thought prior to investing. Have looked around at the posts here and r/cryptocurrency but hoping for something more focused on the potential for a promising coin hitting the exchanges. submitted by /u/game_doctor [link] [comments] Read More

A few simple questions (I hope!)

Hi, Resubmitting, didn't see about flair. So, I've been interested in crypto on and off for a few years. Recently, I've started mining ethereum and zcash, not mining rigs, just using gaming pcs whilst I'm sleeping/working, so nothing too serious. I'm hoping that by trading/investing in some crypto, it might give me a bit of a boost financially. Currently, my soon-to-be-wife and I are both teachers, despite having degrees, and master's degrees, it only pulls in about £18k after tax. Sounds like a lot, but it only really pays the bills. I've been matched betting, which bring in another £500 or so a month. Trading wise, I've not done anything too serious, pretty much following on eToro with the test account to get a feel for it. I've seen some people recommend Coinigy, is this a set of tools to help inform decisions? Is it a case of buy low, sell high? Is it better to buy low and hold? Is it better to buy low, hold some, sell some depending on the

Advice on the best method of exchanging BTC to ETH?

I have decided that I want to switch all my holdings in BTC to ETH in the next week or so but I am not sure of the best way to go about doing this. ShapeShift and poloniex are the only platforms I have used but there is a lot of skepticism about poloniex at the moment and the fees seem pretty high with ShapeShift. Any advice appreciated on which service to use. submitted by /u/BearsArePeople [link] [comments] Read More

Help with portfolio please?

Hello! I have already invested in some crypto(ETH, GNT, BTC, SC) but have now decided to take it more seriously. I would appreciate any comments/concerns you have about my portfolio. I am a college student so unfortunately don't have a large amount of money to invest each time I have the opportunity to. I plan holding all these long term. Ether - 40% Bitcoin - 10% Golem - 10% Sia - 8% lisk - 8% waves - 5% nem - 5% Stratis - 4% wings - 4% This leaves six percent left. Which would either go to one(or distributed between) of those above or into a different coin(s). Some other coins I am interested in but not sure if they are worth investing in are: DigiByte, Ardor, GameCredits, Factom. And then with less enthusiasm: SwarmCity, Monero(feel like Im too late for this one), Ubiq. Thank you I really appreciate it! submitted by /u/Danny98m [link] [comments] Read More

Segwit 2X milestone on June 16th

http://ift.tt/2sQc8ay That's a critical date for the Bitcoin market. Last time I checked the pull request ( http://ift.tt/2rVi3xN ) people were still discussing the optimal approach. If by June 16th the alpha is ready I can see some money moving back into Bitcoin. If the schedule doesn't hold this implies that the Bitcoin network will not only fail to scale anytime soon, but also that there's going to be quite a bit of chaos due to the UASF. Expect a major outflow of money in that case. I would be tempted to move a small amount of ETH back into BTC because the logical conlusion for the recent ETH rise would be that the Bitcoin developers and miners finally get their shit together. But reading Reddit and the developer chat rooms it looks like Bitcoin fractions are still busy fighting each other, instead of finding a compromise. submitted by /u/_gst_ [link] [comments] Read More

Can someone explain or clarify Github repository and code reports for crypto currencies and the gap in results between coins.

Hello Everyone, To start I am not a programmer or engineer but I am doing my best to learn. I have been investing in the crypto space for just a few months and through my research I discovered something I could not find an answer to so I am reaching out to the community with hopes to find some clarification. I am wondering if anyone else has researched through Github when you search for a currency it takes you to the following link http://ift.tt/2rjOocZ . I am just using Reddcoin and Dogecoin as examples for this post. If you look on the search results I included and under the repositories and code sections it shows results languages and after looking at Reddcoin for example versus for example Dogecoin http://ift.tt/2rOWltU the results differ and the date of code differ as well. Can anyone explain why the very different results when it comes to repositories , languages ? Also when looking under the actual coding being done I see some coding dated back to 2016 and then when I chang

Any sites like broker1 that list trades to follow by traders for cryptocurrency?

As a relative newbie, it's hard to sort through the myriad of information to find good trades. Twitter seems to be one of the best sources, but many Twitter users worth following have thousand's worth to trade with, meaning they can afford to hold and not see profit immediately and still invest in other avenues and not miss out. was hoping there was a site that showed traders making trades and their results so someone could copy their trades if they wanted to, to simplify things, something like 1broker has set up currently. submitted by /u/pppppooooorrrrrnnnnn [link] [comments] Read More
