Quick qustion

I want to store some altcoins on MyEtherWallet. I know Golem is based on Ether so I can store it there. Where can I check is some altcoin based on ether or not, so I can store it on MEW?

On Coinmarketcap some altcoins have how much they are worth in BTC and ETH, some of them have only how much they're worth in BTC, that means they are not base on ether?
