Do you think it makes sense not to hold large amounts of a single crypto, but instead diversify in market as a whole?

I'm starting to doubt that even holding majority of stake in the main cryptos (Bitcoin and Ethereum) is a good idea.

After all, anything unexpected can happen. Bitcoin will split, Ethereum is controlled by whims of Vitalik and his one sentence can crash the whole market.

However, all the alt coins go up and down along with the main movers - Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Would it not make sense to diversify and put more in the rest of the market? So if blockchain succeeds you end up winning, but in the same time you aren't risking too much on a single project.

What is the ideal distribution in your opinion?
