Best Exchanges?

I've been using Kraken currently, but they only have a handful of alt coins. I was wondering what other exchanges people would recommend me using. I heard people not being able to get their withdrawals from poloniex (not sure if that problem is fixed). I just want a safe exchange that I can use without getting screwed in the long run. I'm from Canada, if it helps with suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help!
