What should I do, lost bitcoin want to rebuy

I know I'm an idiot but I lost a lot of my bit coin and I want to spend the money on buying more but seeing as it's not a high I'm thinking to wait as there's a high likelihood that it will come back down or do a correction as they say. speaking as a nube any advice is appreciated thank you
