Siacoin (SIA): unique technology and seems like it could be very disruptive on paper. Opinions?

Here's the website: http://sia.tech/

Been reading up on this coin a bit recently and I'm really liking the vision that the developers have. Their goal is to have Sia act as a decentralized cloud storage network. If the bull case scenario comes to fruition, then I see this catching the eye of existing cloud enterprises such as Dropbox, Amazon Drive, and CRM within a few years. There's obviously still a long way to go but it looks like the dev team has its act together: bunch of ambitious Harvard and MIT grads.

The coin dipped considerably from highs because people were unable to withdraw it from Polo. I believe the issue has since been resolved and, looking at its chart, upward momentum has begun to resume. From a short-term perspective it looks as if its at the tail-end of a consolidation period, which I see as a good opportunity to buy in.

While the idea is sound and -- in my mind -- worthy of a small, long-term investment, I'm wondering if anyone has any input regarding Sia's feasibility. Cloud is an area that will continue to grow considerably as time passes and the prospect of it being integrated with blockchain is definitely a reason for excitement. However, at these nascent stages this is all just speculation.
