LTC or BTC or. Or both?..

Hey everyone, I'm invested in both of these coins and I was wondering, with the upcoming split, if it would be wise to transfer some of my BTC to LTC. I understand the need for BTC currently since it is effectively the underlying "value" for most of these alt's, but I truly believe I the future of LTC. Just trying to get some opinions. Thanks!
