Fastest way to get money into an exchange

Hi there, I wanted to ask whats currently the best way for a German to get money onto an exchange to trade into alts. With my first invest I used the Fidor Bank to buy BTC on bitcoin.de, then sent the BTC to Bitfinex.

With the current transaction times and also fees, I'm wondering if it would be better to buy ETH on the platform and send them to the exchange? Is there an easier/faster way?
