Are there alt coin index funds (coins)?

It seems to me that an index coin which was a composite of the 20 biggest coins by market cap, as well as select few vetted new coins with developmental potential, would be hugely successful.

If just one of the underlying coins posted huge returns in the next few years, the index coin would net positive return. Does this index coin currently exist? It would seem that one of the established exchanges could offer such a product and profit from a small investment fee.
