So even assuming 99% of the all new futures contracts are SHORT positions.... This will do absolutely nothing to the price of Bitcoin. Rihht?

Usually a short position involves actually selling an actual bitcoin on the public market, which lowers the price. Futures contracts never touch the underlying asset and do absolutely nothing to the actual price on the coin.

A trader could open a $100 billion "short" position on a futures contract and have 0.00 impact on the price.

Corect me if I'm wrong.
