LTC / BCH / BTC+LN

I understand the differences between the three, what I don't understand is how LTC (giant "first mover") has been skyrocketing while BCH has been standing still (despite considerable adoption by merchants), and furthermore, why ANY of these should be skyrocketing or moving at all if BTC is going to implement the Lightning Network in the upcoming weeks.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something?
