Why aren't hiking and will they hike? Are they about to?

Hello, so going back to August we had a beautiful moment after the fork where a whole bunch of alts skyrocketed to way above all time highs and I won't lie, I was hoping for this to happen again. To my surprise this hardly happened at all. What are people's thoughts? Do you think this is about to happen? Do you think they will hike eventually? Or do you think alts are doomed and will not have a moment of an unimaginable hike ever again or any time soon? And most importantly why do you think this! I think such discussion will be interesting and could share some useful insight for everyone to learn from. Cheers
