Going flat (both buying and opening a short) before a fork?

I'm wondering what's the flaw in this plan: "go flat" on your position by shorting say the equivalent of 10 BTC (while keeping enough collateral to not get margin called) while at the same time buying 10 BTC (on another exchange if the exchange on which you short doesn't allow you to both short and long)... Then withdraw the 10 BTC you bought.

Wait for the fork.

Close your positions: close the short and sell the 10 BTC you bought.

Pocket the 10 BTCsegwit2x difference you get from the fork.

Where's the flaw?
