Exchange to invest $20k?

Looking to start an initial portfolio of somewhere around $20k and want to know what exchange has decent customer support to get verified and start trading as quick as possible. I know about coinbase but they're verification process sucks and has low limits, yet no one will answer the phone or respond from customer service. Any tips would be appreciated on where to begin trading.
