Hardfork and Impact on other Alts

Hello r/CryptoMarkets,

While August 1st approaches and we await for the newest fork of the Bitcoin blockchain, other alt-coins are waiting in limbo awaiting natural fluctuations due to uncertainty in the cryptocurrency realm.

I would like to ask the CryptoCurrency community what you predict will happen to the alt-coins in wake of this UAHF. I imagine that many cryptocurrency enthusiasts and traders don't invest 100% of their stake in a single coin but instead diversify their investments, and if this is the case then people should care what happens (short-term) to their investments during this event?

Will altcoins see a boost in investments to hedge against uncertainty for Bitcoin?

Will Bitcoin see a double-down as people sell Bitcoin from the forked blockchain for Bitcoin in the legacy blockchain?

Will many withdraw for fiat currency in this time of uncertainty?
