Current thoughts on investing in Ethereum?

I am very new to this and have recently bought a very small amount of Ethereum. My plan is to hold on to it long term. I've seen a couple of comments claiming that by the end of the year, Ethereum will go down to $80, while other people claim it will rise to $500 by the end of the year. I'd like to know what you all think about investing in Ethereum right now when it's ~$200. Is it the right time to invest? What are your predictions involving short term and long term?
