Learning about crypto..

I've been trading FX for a while now and I'm looking for other markets to start trading, crypto has always been at the top of the list. I can't find any good resources to start learning so if anyone knows of any books, videos, websites, or online courses, post them below.

What I'm having trouble with is understanding the fundamentals behind the currency, their goals, etc. Besides that, I know the blockchain is a database of all the transactions, that's it. I don't understand the protocols, forks, confirming transactions, the math behind the mining algos, etc.
