August 1st strategy

It sounds like there's going to be a lot of volatility around August the 1st and beyond if there's a hard fork, which to me means one thing: the opportunity to buy cheap Bitcoin. The thing that scares me though is setting a load of low buy orders that are filled by what turns out to be the legacy version of Bitcoin. What are your thoughts on the upcoming volatility? How do you intend to make the most of it?
