Question about price alerts

I'm looking for an app or web application where I can set price alerts in USD. Everything I see out there has either some in USD and some in BTC or everything in BTC.

I'm not sure how to calculate the math using BTC since BTC is always rising or falling. How can you use that to measure the value of other cryptos?
