Are CryptoMarkets in a race against government intervention?

If you look at the crypto market today, most market movement is a series of giant pump and dumps. The greatest example being the BCH-BTC PnD last weekend.

How can billions of dollars move into and out of an asset in a matter of hours? It looks like nobody is actually buying to HODL anymore except perhaps the noobies buying bitcoin.

I have been wondering if this actually makes sense. It really seems like it’s only a matter of time before the SEC and ESMA force exchanges to follow stringent regulations.

After that, the average person probably won’t be able to legally invest in crypto. If this is expected to happen within the next year then there is absolutely no reason to buy and HODL.

I found some great projects to HODL on but is it irrational and actually riskier to HODL? Does it actually make more sense to make your money and get out ASAP?
