What is the safest move for our BTC, exchanges splitting coins post-2x ?

Hi there, during the previous fork I kept my BTC in Electrum Wallet and then I missed out on being able to trade BCH for a premium when Kraken split the coins for users. I am still stuck with trying to use electron cash that crashed to get my BCH out. Now with the upcoming 2x fork, are there any exchanges that will officially support the chains and split coins? Or is Electrum a safer bet?
