Some thoughts about how to hedge against the upcoming Bitcoin hardforks

If the market views this whole Bitcoin split into 5 coins thing as a negative for all of bitcoin, other large market caps will be a natural choice to flee into. Specificallly those with baked in governance models might do especially well (decred, tezos). Those with strong incumbency and leadership like ETH will probably also be natural destination.

I like Monero as well over the next 2-4 years as governments start to do more AML tracking on the blockchain, and with hardware wallet support coming soon that one is an easy pick for the short term as well. If the broader community felt the need to jump ship to a pure currency chain, Monero is a decent pick cause it already has some DNM vendor adoption.
