Are Chinese exchanges insolvent?

For a long time there have been constant news articles about OKCoin and Huobi using customer money for their own speculative investments. Now it comes out that, unlike other Chinese exchanges which either closed down voluntarily, or were ordered to close down this month, the two big ones have been given extra time to "unwind their positions".

Charlie Lee also had some tweet (that he deleted) questioning the reserve status of Chinese exchanges.

What does everyone think? Is it very likely that OKCoin and Huobi are insolvent? Will it be another Mt. Gox on our hands?
