Is it possible to buy and sell in the same day?

I've been looking into buying and selling crypto lately and I'm a bit confused. Is it possible to do something like buy 1 ETH in the morning if it's at a lower price, then later sell it and quickly make the 20$ profit or whatever it is based off the prices? It seems to be too simple.. Any advice or guidance is appreciated. Thanks!
