Bittrex in NY?

I'm trying to buy some currencies but many sites do not operate in NY. The ones that I know are fine are Coinbase, Gemini, and itBit. However these are mostly BTC and I'm interested in others as well. Bittrex doesn't seem to block me but it doesn't have a bitLicense or a banking charter in NY like the others I've mentioned. Is it fine to purchase from here?
