News Scraping Trade Bot

I am thinking about programming a software that scrapes all words from different news sites, blogs and twitter accounts and then compares the number of certain words used in the past with the exchange rates of the past. Could such a program have potential to predict pumps and dumps? Or is the influence news sites have on exchange rates not significant enough?
