I need a USD -> Crypto method that actually works

I've been trying to get into crypto for the past 2 weeks, and I need some help.

So far I've tried: GDAX and Coinbase, which fail to verify my identity every time.

Kraken, which doesn't have an option to verify.

Gemini doesn't like my phone number, so I can't make an account.

I have a verified account on Bittrex, but their minimum is $100,000.

Many of the other exchanges have very high fees.

What can I do?
