Discussion invitation: My view on the current state of the crypto market.
So it all astarted as a group of subversive rebels (btc), slowly they were getting more traction until they started to be noticed by the mainstream (2013). BUT is was too early and the world wasn't prepared for it (bubble popps). After a long period of silence it came back to the surface, and not it's only exponent BTC, but aslo other valuable cryptoss (q1, q2 2017) because it showed that blockchain is much bigger than just btc. So everyone and their mother wanted to join the blockchain craze and this is where we are now - in the times of infinite ico's promising to be the next big thing. Bittrex concerns
So, I've been reading a lot about people being unable to withdraw funds from Bittrex. I was just about to start using them the other day before I heard all of the noise about Bittrex. Can anyone chime in with some experience they've had with Bittrex recently? I saw on their Twitter they claim it's only effecting 1% of their customer base, but the amount of replies they've received stating the contrary on that Tweet is a bit disconcerting. There are a handful of alts I want to scoop up right now and Bittrex seems to be the only place that has them on their exchange. If anyone has used Bittrex recently, are you able to deposit, exchange, and withdraw crypto right now or is your account locked? I noticed some people mentioned the account verification thing isn't working. Something to be aware of when using Bittrex
So, yeah, long story short. Out of blue, they disabled my account. I contacted support and was told I need to do enhanced verification. I think this is a joke and shady practice. They say that accounts that are valued over $1000 need to be enhanced verified (even though they state that basic verfied accounts can withdraw up to 3BTC). I have less than 100 dollars there!! I signed up to Bittrex because they didn't need my selfie+ID and now they lock my money up and practically black-mail me because I can be a fucking terrorist and what not. And because I am under 18, there's no way to get my money back without going to freakin jail, just because I trusted redditors who said Bittrex is safe. OMG! WTF is going on at Kraken?
I started using Kraken in 2015. It was always my trusted exchange to buy crypto using euros. I never experienced a problem in the past. But over the last few months the situation with the trading engine has gotten worse and worse. Today I want to withdraw a measly 0.02 BTC to a new Bitcoin address and it is impossible the confirm the new address, I get the message "The withdrawal approval code is invalid or has expired". Even though I just entered the new address at Kraken and confirmed the email immediately. Anyway, has someone an idea what is going on at Kraken? Maybe they bought too many smaller exchanges and now they have hit a brick wall integrating all those system because they don't scale? As far as ICO's go, Quantstamp may be a solution to real-world problems.
I'm not just shilling here, but I do want to commend this ICO on its goals to provide this space a solution to human error. Smart Contracts are key to the cryptoworld, but they are done by humans. As humans, we are prone to error. What Quantstamp helps is reduce the error by having people verify the smart contracts. I think this is an amazing idea. Cross-posted from /r/icocrypto . There is a Reddit user called "mistaschlong" who talks about how he's investing in Myanmar, and how he has "a team" of people there working for him. Last summer his "team" consisted of 4 people (3 girls and a guy). We all ghosted him when we found out he raped a girl he was working with (more on that below). As of 10/23/2017, this guy is running a scam ICO called Exsul Coin. Here is their Website and Facebook . He claims it's a cryptocurrency that will help refugees. But he's just taking advantage of the media covering the Rohingya refugee crisis in Myanmar, and using it to market his fake ICO. His actual plan is to take the ICO money for himself and "purchase cash-generating assets" in Myanmar.
