Where to store long term coins/tokens?

I'm looking to start buying some coins but was wondering how I would go about storing them. I don't plan on actively trading all that much, just buy&hold for a long time, but I want to be able to buy a wide variety of tokens and coins like ARK, SC, NLC2, PAY, OMG, and IOTA. Where would I go about storing them, seeing as most people wouldn't recommend leaving them in the exchanges?
